For anyone who spends time around water or deals with humidity, corrosion can ruin a good wheel fast. This 13" x 4-1/2" steel wheel uses a hot-dip galvanized finish that provides superior protection from rust and corrosion. It’s a sturdy, long-lasting design that meets Department of Transportation standards, so it holds up season after season without flaking or peeling like painted finishes often do.
When you’re hauling gear, you want a wheel that can handle the weight with no surprises. This rim is rated at 1,660 lbs and built with durable steel that meets DOT specifications. The 0 offset provides balanced tracking and weight distribution for steady performance under load.
Fitment is straightforward thanks to the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and 3.19" pilot diameter. The wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20 with a zero offset, so it lines up easily with standard trailer hubs. The eight-spoke pattern not only gives it a classic look but also adds even load distribution across the rim.
This rim’s 13" diameter and 4-1/2" width make it a match for popular trailer tire sizes like ST175/80-13, ST185/80-13, and ST185/60R13. That means you can pair it confidently with the tires you already rely on, knowing the combination will mount cleanly and maintain proper load support on the road.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Americana 13 inch by 4 1/2 inch galvanized spoke design steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire wheel assembly, it is designed for your use in marine applications like on your boat trailer. The wheel is a sturdy steel construction with the multi-spoke design to it. It does have a galvanized finish on the wheel, which will protect the wheel from rust and corrosion when you're unloading your boat in the water.
Now, the galvanized finish is not always the best-looking finish on the wheel, but it is the best finish for protection. The wheel is a high-quality wheel, doesn't meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. If you notice, this wheel does not include a center cap. We do sell center caps. If you do want one, we do sell 'em separately.
You do wanna make sure to get a center cap. It has the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause your center cap will be installed through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Few measurements on the wheel we're gonna measure is the diameter and the width. And when you measure the diameter, you're gonna measure inside to inside.
And the reason is, when you mount a tire on here, the tire beads will seat right here. So basically, what you're measuring is from bead seat to bead seat. So if we take our tape measure and if we go inside to inside, there's your 13 inch diameter. The width will be the same way. You're measuring bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside.
4 1/2 inches for the width. Now, the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel like this that's an odd number of lugs, in this case, 5, what you'll need to do is pick any one of the holes, let's say this one. And then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole you measure to. So on this one, it'll measure 4 1/2 inches. So it's gonna tell you it's a 5 lug, 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. This does use a wheel lug size of a 1/2 inch by 20. The weight capacity on this wheel is 1,660 pounds. Now, always remember that if you have any questions regarding this product, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat or email. Or if you've even purchased this product, please send us pictures of it being used in your application. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Americana 13 inch by 4 1/2 inch galvanized spoke design steel trailer wheel with a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Great orice, great service, excellent s upoirt.
I bought this wheel as a spare for my boat trailer. I am pleased with the quality of it. I haven't run it on the ground (hope I will never need to!). I would have given it a 5, but the finish isn't as smooth as I would like.
They were very speedy in getting the order delivered and kept me up to date on the process of order
I'm impressed these wheels are sold so affordably. I put them through my own test of self installation. With a harbor freight manual floor tire installer. Not a chip or scratch. They are tough! Very happy with these!
Wheels appear to be well built, and fit as they should. The galvanized finish has some flaws in it, but at the price these wheels are offered, that is minor, and can be overlooked.
I was not sure of the exact wheel I was looking for, and their patients and guidance got me the exact feel I needed for my boat trailer! Even when I thought I was asking silly questions, they were able to guide me
Excellent product. I have since sold the trailer that these wheels were used on.
Bought 2 first and liked them. Should have bought a 3rd for the spare tire, so this order took care of it. This is my 6th or 7th order from etrailer.com they do a great job every time!
This is for a spare tire on a pontoon trailer. Product is as described and very good quality. Above all else, I received excellent follow up service and help on expedited shipping from George J at eTrailer. It’s refreshing to find an online seller that provides this kind of service. I will be a return customer.
The cost and quality of the galvanized wheel was the best. I look to Etrailer first for my trailer needs.
Needed a new rim for a blown tire and/or spare tire for my boat trailer. I appreciated the consultation with a technician to make sure I had the correct rim. It arrived within two days of ordering and came in pristine galvanized condition. It arrived packed carefully in a box. Only issue was too many staples....but I guess better safe than sorry. I am fully satisfied.
I purchased a spare wheel for my boat trailer, as well as a trailer mount for it. The pricing was very reasonable, shipping was super fast, and items were well packaged. I’ll be purchasing from etrailer again.
I bought 2 of these to use as spares for a dual axle boat trailer. These wheels are exactly as advertised. I really appreciated the details on the website regarding the product. These details helped ensure that I ordered the correct size wheel.
I plan to use the rim for a spare tire for my boat trailer. Etrailer did an excellent job of packing the item for shipping and shipped it out very quickly to me. They were on top of the order from the get go and e-mailed me on the progress of same. The galvanized finish on the item appears to somewhat lumpy and non-uniform in nature---- it may be how they are all made now or it might be just this single sample. The rim itself should work out fine for my use.
I ordered these to replace some older black solid steel wheels. They fit really well, look a lot better than the ones they replaced for sure. The finish and overall look seemed a bit rough, but nothing that stopped me from using these wheels. Still I would like to see the finish be better.
Bought these to replace the rims for my boat trailer and I was very pleased with them. Very fast shipping and the rims fit great with the new tires I purchased from Big-O. Rims were packaged very good and safely. Will be buying another one from the soon to repace the spare rim.
I've used eTrailer for several years making purchases for the 4 trailers that I own and use regularly. I have 2 boat trailers, a cargo trailer and an RV trailer. I've purchased tie-down systems, hitch accessories, lighting, wheel and bearing systems. Most recently I purchased new galvanized wheels for my smaller boat trailer. I received the wheels today and the shipping time was fast and the quality of the wheels is excellent. I recommend eTrailer for any trailer support needs.
Dexstar is Made in U.S.A. Very important to me!!
Great product.
Nice welds.
Good coverage with the galvanized coating.
Being used on a snowmobile trailer.
Should solve the problem I had with painted wheels that had the paint flake off and caused the wheels to rust and fall apart. Due to the heavy salt use here in New England during winter.
etrailer.com has great customer service with really fast delivery.
The service I got from joanne k was outstanding, she answered all of my questions thoroughly and was very pleasant to speak with. The only problem that I had was the welding on 1 of the rims was ok but not up to the quality that I expected, it seems to be ok but I was expecting better.
Great customer service. Thanks Joshua B.
I'm not satisfied with these wheels. There are rough splatter spots all over the wheels like the galvanized product was applied over rust or dirt. One wheel is chipped on the edge and exposed steel can bee seen.

Hey Louis. These wheels are dipped galvanized. The dipping process can cause runs, inconsistencies, and sometimes cause areas to look like clumping. I am more than happy to send out a replacement for the chipped one, let me know and I can take care of that for you.
One year in, with it mounted to a salt water trailer, and this rim is still spotless. And that's with the a galvanized u-bolt having already rusted off.

Sounds like this wheel will withstand the test of time, even with a hint of salt.
Nice wheels...Galvanized finish almost looks like chrome...some welds are little large, just a little extra weight to balance, no big deal
The service and availability is top notch, however the finished product had several flaws, dribble from the hot dip Galvanization process left unsightly globs of galv product. Granted I did not expect perfection, If I had I would have went with a more expensive product. They are being install on my snow machine trailer so it really is not that big of a deal, just letting you know incase someone wants the prefect finish.
Thanks Mark
