As advertised, easy to install. Feels solid
Racing so pictured from back side
Easy install and holds well. Etrailer has some good products and I refer friends frequently.
Seems to fit good but I question only having a thick washer holding the spare to the iron on the trailer. Feels stable but we’ll see
Seems sturdy but I didn't trust just the washer holding it on so I drilled a hole through the angle and cracked an out in an extra bolt with lock washer. I saw others had done the same thing
It’s a lil flimsy on rail of the trailer. Hopefully it won’t vibrate lose while going down the road.
I used the holder on my Carvana 5x8,which has 12"tire. It fit and hold the tire securely. The only thing I'd change is the bottom bolt with the washer that provides a friction fit. I'd rather have a rectangular type bracket that had more surface area, which would provider greater hold strength. Other that that, it works for what I need. It would also be nice if all mounting hardware was same as the lugnut. The bolts that actually hold my little tire, I cut short, so I don't need to carry deep well sockets with me.
Thanks for a great product.
Mark
Work great with my 13 inch tires and fit perfect on the trailer

Awesome. Pulled the trailer across the country and back. I had no problems.
Easy to install. Fits well on angle iron trailer frame. You might want to change the carriage bolt to fine thread. This will allow for a wheel locks to fit and lock the spare tire (1/2 x20) I'm trying to find some.
I bought this because I didn't want to use up one of the 2x4 brackets. However, while it clamps fairly well, we weren't aware that the frame would be under so much stress. Going on rough roads caused some issues, but if I stayed on paved, good roads, then this is a good option
The bottom screw were it attaches to the trailer stripped and won’t tight or loose so it’s sitting in the middle of the part where clamps to the trailer would appreciate if could send another back part with screw, washer and lock nut
This is a terrible product. It is very flimsy. Being held essentially by a single washer. One big bump and there goes the whole set and tire. Not to mention you need 2 people to put the spare on and off the mount. The bolts will not lock in place as you’re tightening. 0/10 if it was possible. You guys typically have good stuff. This is not one of them.
Great spare tire bracket! My trailers angle iron was a little larger than any of the pictures provided, but I drilled a hole into the trailer to make it that much more durable. Very happy with this product and looks super clean too!
Exactly what I needed except my trailer's angle iron was to big and I had drill threw it for the mounting bolt. Other than that, it is a nice product. I will probably buy another one for a second spare tire.
It fit my trailer perfectly and the spare tire mounted right up perfectly. Fast delivery.
I am concerned that the rail will flex and that the pinch washer will fail to hold the unit and wheel to the trailer. I am researching a method of supporting the weight allowing the mounting unit to simply hold the wheel to the trailer.

Eugene, I appreciate you sharing that concern, that’s a good thing to be thinking about with a setup like this. The carrier is designed to clamp securely to the frame, but depending on the weight of the tire and the thickness of the rail, it’s understandable to want a little extra peace of mind. Adding additional support like you’re considering can definitely help take some load off the mounting point. If you’d like, we’d be happy to take a closer look at your specific setup and help you come up with a solid solution. I can reach out the guys that developed this product.
looks like it is very durable and mounted to my trailer with ease.
Fit is great, seems plenty sturdy. Haven't traveled with it yet. Glad to see loctite and nylon lock nuts included.

Happy to hear your liking it so far Tim and appreciate the photo. Let us know how it travels and have a great summer!
Seems to work fine but vibrates/rocks a little as I’m going down the road. I mount on the trailer tongue would be sturdier, but I plan on mounting a storage box there. It was very easy to install and mount spare tire on the side railing of the trailer. 4 stars overall.
My main gripe was not with the products, but shipping. I chose E-trailer for the quick estimated delivery... Turns out, it took 2 weeks instead of 3 days.. but I blame myself for choosing USPS ground (tracking says it went from St Louis to Salt Lake back to Dallas then Albq) instead of UPS/FedEx.
Although it didn't "fit" my trailer with a 3" vertical flange, I prefer that I had to drill a hole - much more secure my way than the designed way. I also recognize that it may be more expensive to have the the lug bolt & nuts match the trailer, so I dug thru my bucket of bolts & lug nuts to find some that did match. There is NO WAY I was going to take that trailer on the road and have to remember to take an extra wrench that matched the provided nuts.
I also had to cut away my side boards to allow a solid attachment - so there wasn't anything 'quick' about the attachment, but I love it & expect it to last ..
This product was very easy to install and solved the problem of where to carry my spare. I added 2 nuts to lock the wheel studs in place to make mounting the wheel assembly easier. Very clean and sturdy mount!

Thanks for sharing John! That’s a great tip adding extra nuts to help hold the wheel studs in place during mounting. We appreciate you choosing etrailer!
The spare tire mount was exactly what I needed for my trailer. The instructions were spot on, took less than 10 mins to install the mount. If you have L-channel top rail on your trailer, look no further you have found it.
The delivery was fast and accurate. The install was very simple. Instructions were clear although I believe the bracket is made for 2 x 2 angle. Mine was 3 x 2 angle so I had to drill a hole in the angle iron for the second bolt to go through all in all very simple to install looks like a very quality product and very happy with the communication and service from E trailer

Thanks for the great feedback John. Glad to hear the delivery, install, and overall experience went smoothly. Good callout on the bracket fitment too. That is helpful for anyone mounting to a different size angle. Sounds like a quick drill made it work without much trouble. I hope you never have to use your spare tire =)
Fit my angle iron utility trailer perfectly! Installation was a breeze, and I don’t know why people are saying they need to carry extra wrenches. My four-way lug wrench fit the tire mounting lug nuts perfectly! I mounted mine directly over in vertical support and it is very sturdy.
This etrailer Spare Tire Mount is an absolute winner! I mounted it on my Tractor Supply trailer (the one with the angle-iron railing) and it fits perfectly. The clamp-on design is super sturdy and installed in minutes with no drilling required, just tightened everything down and it’s rock solid.
The mount holds my spare tire securely even on bumpy back roads and highway speeds. No rattling, no shifting, and it keeps the tire up and out of the way so it doesn’t interfere with loading or towing. The heavy-duty steel construction and quality hardware give me complete confidence that my spare isn’t going anywhere.
If you have a trailer with angle-iron rails, this is the perfect solution. Saved me a ton of hassle and money compared to welding something custom. Highly recommend — worth every penny!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed review Randy! I'm so glad to hear the spare tire mount fit your Tractor Supply trailer perfectly and made for such an easy installation. I also really appreciate you including the pictures. Your setup looks great, and I'm sure they'll help others see how well this mount works on angle-iron trailers.
Had an issue with the bolts and bracket for the wheel mount. The square part of the bolt that goes into the slot is too short and or the rectangle squared hole that those bolts go through is too big…. Very hard too tighten with the wheel on, keeps spinning.. Ended up getting New bolts with a better head for the holes. Maybe make just square holes for the carriage bolts instead of a slot. My bolt is on the left in picture, yours on the right.

Hi Pete, thank you for your feedback. I recommend making sure you are using the thread locker and torquing the m12 bolt down to 50 foot lbs.
