How Does the etrailer Spare Tire Mount e99045 Attach?

Question:
Hello I am seeing two different mounting designs pictured for the e99045 tire mount.can you tell me which one is correct? Thank you.

That's interesting Tom, I can't even find that other picture you sent. The etrailer Spare Tire Mount item # e99045 comes with the bracket that has the welded tabs to connect to an angle-iron railing like you see in the pictures below. It was redesigned in 2022 to its current configuration.
The etrailer Spare Tire Mount item # e99045 fits 12" to 15" wheels and works with the following bolt patterns:
4 on 4
5 on 4-1/2
5 on 5
6 on 5-1/2
8 on 6-1/2
