Good

by:

I bolt plate fit good. They’re not plated so they’ll probably rust since I’m using them on a boat trailer…

by:

Very good stamping, dimensionally correct, perfect fit. Nice gauge used comparable to the original on the trailer. Overall good quality item!

by:

Worked exactly as described, and having the dimensions listed is very helpful. After getting my plates, I had my trailer on the axle and moved out of the shop within minutes! Would highly recommend.

by:

I'm wondering if Pot is legal in the warehouse state because there is a total disconnect between ordering and receiving which has delayed a simple leaf spring swap into a 3 week job with extraordinary frustration.

by:

I ordered the item from etrailer.com because it was inexpensive and fast shipping and it was exactly what I needed, all the stores around me were out of item and guessing on size.

by:

I mistakenly discarded the original U-bolt plates for my new round axle! The replacement parts purchased from “e-trailer” I believe are a better choice and design! Why?!great question!! Instead of just being”flat plates”, they are reinforced due to being “boxed / creased” design!

*Note to e-trailer web designers, I was unable to upload multiple pictures!

  • Replacement Axle for a 3,500 lbs Dexter 8459488 Axle w/a 86.5" Hub Face and a 68.5" Spring Center
Hey Larry, thanks for the information! To replace your Dexter axle, I recommend the Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles item # LC63PK. Your Dexter pn 8459488 axle has a 86.5" hub face and 68.5" spring seat measurement so this axle will be a comparable replacement. We do not carry a Dexter axle that matches your pn 8459488 specifications. The Lippert Axle item # LC63PK has spring seats mounted in the underslung position and 4-bolt brake flanges installed. You'll be able...

  • Do You Have a 3,500 lbs Overslung Axle w/ a 86" Hub Face and a 68-1/2" Spring Seat?
Yes, we do Steve! For an overslung 3,500 lbs axle, I recommend the Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles item # LC33PK. This axle is sold individually. The Lippert Trailer Axle Beam item # LC33PK has a 86" hub face and a 68-1/2" spring center. The spring seats are welded onto the axle in the overslung position so you won't need to use a flip kit. You will be able to reuse your existing 3,500 lbs hubs as well. When you swap out your old axles you will also want to replace...

  • Determining If Dent In Torsion Axle Is Causing Driving Vibrations
Thanks for the pictures! That does look like a good size dent but the axle may not be bent. What I recommend is removing the hubs and taking a look at the bearings for any abnormal wear, and go ahead and repack the bearings if they look good still. Likely the spindle nut loosened up giving you the excessive play you mentioned. You will want to place the hub on the spindles while rocking it back and forth to seat the bearings in the races. Next tighten the spindle nut until it stops...

  • U-Bolts & U-Bolt Plate For Trailer Axle e72GR
The correct 5-1/2" U-bolts and U-bolt plates for the Trailer Axle with Idler Hubs # e72GR are the following: - U-Bolt with Nuts for 2-3/8" Round Trailer Axles - 1/2" Diameter # 176400 - U-Bolt Plate - 2-3/8" Diameter, Round Trailer Axle - 1-3/4" Wide Spring - 1/2" Bolts # TRTP238175 You can get them individually since you mentioned only needing seven, but it does also come in a kit that has four U-bolts and plates, the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 3,500-lb, Round Trailer Axles - 5-1/2" Long...

  • Are Trailer Leaf Spring Weight Capacities Listed Per Axle or Spring
The leaf springs we carry like the part # e54SR are rated by the axle capacity they were intended to be used on. So this spring is designed for a 3,500 lb axle. It has an individual spring capacity of 1,750 lbs. To pick out the u-bolts you'd need I'd need to know the diameter of your axles. Most likely it's 2-3/8 inch so you'd need the # SP01-040 for the U-bolts and then for plates # TRTP238175. Then for new shackle bolts you'd just need the # 126B2 and you'd be set.

Thanks for all the information Chad and welcome back! It definitely sounds like your axles bent. To replace your Jayco's overslung 3,500 lbs axle, I recommend the Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles item # LC33PK. The Lippert Trailer Axle Beam item # LC33PK has a 86" hub face and a 68-1/2" spring center. The spring seats are welded onto the axle in the overslung position so it's going to show up ready to be installed. You will be able to reuse your existing 3,500 lbs hubs...
