Hey Larry, thanks for the information! To replace your Dexter axle, I recommend the Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles item # LC63PK. Your Dexter pn 8459488 axle has a 86.5" hub face and 68.5" spring seat measurement so this axle will be a comparable replacement. We do not carry a Dexter axle that matches your pn 8459488 specifications.

The Lippert Axle item # LC63PK has spring seats mounted in the underslung position and 4-bolt brake flanges installed. You'll be able to reuse your existing hubs and brake assemblies with the new axle. If your axle is mounted below your leaf springs, you'll also need the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-384-00.

The Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-384-00 will allow you to convert the spring seats on the Lippert Axle item # LC63PK so you can mount the replacement axle item # LC63PK below your leaf springs. We don't carry axles with the spring seats installed for an overslung setup and you can't weld on new ones to the other side because of the bend in the axle. This kit will also replace your old U-Bolts so you don't need to worry about buying new ones to replace them.

If your axle is currently mounted above your leaf springs, I also recommend picking up two of the Lippert U-Bolt and Nut Kit for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles item # LC27RP and two of the U-Bolt Plate item # TRTP238175. The U-Bolts on your axle will need to be replaced when you install the Lippert Trailer Axle Beam item # LC63PK. The bolts and nuts are only meant to be torqued down upon the initial installation. The hardware likes to fatigue and bend so you won't be able to torque the old ones to the right specs.

The Lippert U-Bolt and Nut Kit for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles item # LC27RP should be torqued between 45 ft/lbs and 70 ft/lbs.

It is a highland ridge openrange rl2710 springs are above axle

@LarryD Thank you! You'll definitely need to pick up the Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-384-00 with the Lippert Axle item # LC63PK. This will allow you to mount the new axle underneath your Highland Ridge's leaf springs. You will not need to buy a new set of u-bolts. The Over-Under Conversion Kit item # K71-384-00 will come with everything you need to attach the new axle to your leaf springs.

@LarryD I only have the 2-3/8" diameter item # LC63PK. We don't have that 3,500 lbs configuration with a 3" diameter axle beam. Standard 3,500 lbs trailer axles have a 2-3/8" outside diameter tube. You typically only see 3" diameter on 5,200 lbs to 7,000 lbs axles so that's surprising to see a 3" one on a such a newer trailer.
