Question:

Hi I have a 2013 jayco 28dsbh. I need an over slung axle Its a dexter 3500 The hf= 86 sc=68.5. I have a picture of the tag on the axle. On the rear axle both tire are worn on the inner edge and the axle ooks flat compared to the front with a tiny upward arch.

Thanks for all the information Chad and welcome back! It definitely sounds like your axles bent. To replace your Jayco's overslung 3,500 lbs axle, I recommend the Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles item # LC33PK.

The Lippert Trailer Axle Beam item # LC33PK has a 86" hub face and a 68-1/2" spring center. The spring seats are welded onto the axle in the overslung position so it's going to show up ready to be installed. You will be able to reuse your existing 3,500 lbs hubs as well.

I also recommend picking up two of the Lippert U-Bolt and Nut Kit for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles item # LC27RP and two of the U-Bolt Plate item # TRTP238175. The U-Bolts on your Jayco's axle will need to be replaced when you install the Lippert Trailer Axle Beam item # LC33PK. The bolts and nuts are only meant to be torqued down upon the initial installation. The hardware likes to fatigue and bend so you won't be able to torque the old ones to the right specs.

The Lippert U-Bolt and Nut Kit for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles item # LC27RP should be torqued between 45 ft/lbs and 70 ft/lbs.
