Today we're going to be taking a look at the CE Smith U bolt plate for trailer suspension systems. The U bolt plate is going to help secure a 2" diameter axle to a 1 3/4" wide leaf spring. Now this is going to require 2, 1/2" diameter U bolts. The U bolts are sold separately, found here at Etrailer.com. The 4 outer holes are designed to accept 1/2" diameter bolts. Now this is made from galvanized steel, durable and corrosion resistant so it would be great for use on boat trailers or any trailer that's exposed to moisture.
The product's made here in the USA. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Measuring the overall length, is going to be about 4" and the distance between these holes, that's going to give us a measurement of 2 5/8". If we take a look at the overall width, that's going to give us a measurement of 3 7/8" and the distance between those holes, that's going to measure 2 3/8".
