Question:
I need a replacement 3,500 lbs axle. The measurements are 73" hub face, 58" spring-center. It has a 4-bolt brake mounting flange. I do not want to have to replace my hubs and brakes. Thank you

Thanks for the information Jerry! To replace your 3,500 lbs axle, I recommend the Dexter item # DX775GV. This axle has a 73" hub face, spring centers at 58", and 4-bolt brake mounting flanges welded to both E-Z Lube spindles.
The Dexter item # DX775GV is a 2.38" diameter axle with spring seats mounted in the underslung position. You will be able to reuse your hubs and brakes as this axle has # 84 spindles, which is standard on 3,500 lbs axles.
I also recommend picking up two of the Lippert U-Bolt and Nut Kit for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles item # LC27RP and two of the U-Bolt Plate item # TRTP238175. The U-Bolts on your axle will need to be replaced when you install the Dexter item # DX775GV. The bolts and nuts are only meant to be torqued down upon the initial installation. The hardware likes to fatigue and bend so you won't be able to torque the old ones to the right specs.
The Lippert U-Bolt and Nut Kit for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles item # LC27RP should be torqued between 45 ft/lbs and 70 ft/lbs.
What kind of trailer do you have and what do you use it for? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

Thank you for your help. It's on a enclosed utility trailer I use for construction work to haul around supplies.
