Bumpy roads and uneven ground can shake a trailer apart. This 2-leaf slipper spring flexes to absorb road shock so the trailer rides smoother and stays level. With a 1,000-lb axle capacity and 500-lb spring capacity, it helps protect the frame, cargo, and running gear from harsh impacts. Each spring measures 24-5/8" from the center of the eye to the end of the radius slipper, giving just the right balance of flex and strength for light-duty use.
A steady suspension starts with solid mounting points. This spring is built from sturdy 1-3/4" wide steel and includes a pre-installed nylon bushing with a 9/16" inside diameter to fit standard suspension bolts. The eye mounts to the front hanger, while the radius-end slipper slides cleanly into the rear hanger or equalizer. It’s a straightforward fit that restores proper axle alignment and smooth suspension movement.
Thin or worn springs can sag and throw off your trailer’s geometry. Each of the two 1/4" thick steel leaves shares the load, keeping the axle positioned right under the frame. That sturdiness helps the spring maintain its shape mile after mile, reducing wear on tires and other suspension parts.
Leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs, and this single 2-leaf slipper spring makes that easy. Use two for a balanced setup on both sides of the axle, or select them for a light custom build rated around 1,000 lbs. The radius-end design fits hangers spaced 22-11/16" center-to-center, making it a direct fit for many standard slipper suspension layouts.

One year later and these springs are performing flawlessly. I bought these springs to upgrade the hauling capacity of my Malone Microsport kayak trailer. The original springs didnt last one season hauling 2 Old Town PDL kayaks.
