Question:
Im looking to replace springs on my 4x6 utility trailer. It has a 2,000lb Dexter axle, but I cant load enough weight for the current springs to act appropriately, it is HARSH driving and jumping all over the road. Would replacing my 1,000 lb springs to these lower capacity help with the ride?

Hello Jonah, thanks for reaching out. As long as the spring length is the same it would be possible to replace your spring with something lower rated. It should make the ride softer but you would also be reducing the weight capacity of your trailer since the springs would only be rated for 1,000 lb total. As long as you wouldn't be overloading the springs, that would work fine.
