Keeping your license plate visible at night is simple with this trailer license plate light. The clear lens and angled design direct light downward, giving even illumination across your plate. Its incandescent 194 wedge bulb puts out steady light without glare, keeping you easy to spot and compliant with visibility laws.
This light’s black polycarbonate housing is made to handle the bumps and scrapes that come with trailer use. The surface-mount design with its built-in ear-mount bracket keeps it secure once installed. Nothing feels loose or flimsy, so you can count on it to stay put through vibration and road wear.
Set-up is quick and uncomplicated. The housing mounts directly to the surface using the integrated bracket, with mounting holes spaced 3-7/16" center to center and 3/16" in diameter. The 2-wire pigtail keeps wiring simple—one power and one ground connection—and you’re good to go.
When it’s time for a new bulb, access is from the back of the housing. Just unscrew it to reach the bulb socket and swap in another 194 wedge bulb. There’s no need for special tools or adapters, so maintenance stays easy down the line.
At 4" long, 1-9/16" tall, and 2-5/8" deep, this light fits neatly on most trailer surfaces without sticking out awkwardly. The small footprint gives a clean look while providing full license plate coverage and drawing only 0.2 amps at 12.8 volts for efficient operation.

Dimension measurements between screw holes provided confidence for exact fit. Yet to install, but appears same or better quality. Arrived in 5 days by ground. Have ordered multiple items in past for same trailer, ie. Trailer electrical pig tail, emergency stop back up connector and battery, brake drums, axle bearings, electric brake mechanisms, seals and caps. Good tech advise and customer service. Only issue with inner bearings was need to use Emory paper to take less than .002 “ off spindle to properly slide on inner bearing. Worked well with no issues. So far 5k miles and all ok.
Exact replacement for the one I broke on my cargo trailer. Wasted two days looking for one at various locations around town before I went online and ordered it thru etrailer. Next time i need anything for my cargo trailer or RV I'll go to etrailer first. Spent more money on fuel running around town than the light cost. Fast delivery and service.

Fast and great product
While backing my 24 foot enclosed cargo trailer into my barn for winter storage the high mounted plastic license plate light fixture just kissed the wall, fracturing it into a zillion pieces. I was lucky that it wasn't made of a more rigid material or the trailer itself would have been damaged. I didn't need an "upgraded" (chrome &/or metal) part; just an exact replacement. And of course e-trailer had exactly what I needed in stock. Good price, no hassle, quick shipping. Trailer is fixed & ready to go.
Perfect replacement fit, enough wiring to make repair connections.
Recommend mounting a post, bolt, or plate along side of it as a hard stop. Issue is that when you lift the trailer by hand, the light can bottom out and break off. By mounting a bolt to prevent the light from hitting, you won't damage the light.

Working great ! No problems at all.
I ordered ANCA tiedowns and got a cheap incomplete set.
See photo for comparison.
The tail lights and hubcaps were cheap chinese copies of what once were
good products.
A son bashed the license plate light and bracket on my utility trailer with the lawn mower. A quick search on etrailer found a perfect replacement! I ordered it, it came quickly and was a perfect fit! No problems since! I really appreciate etrailers efficient assistance!

Licence plate light is a good product would prefer if this identical light came in led. It came in a reasonable time frame, site was easy to navigate. Will order from etrailer for all my trailer needs.

Excellent exact fit as OEM. In fact I chose not to use the wired bulb socket that came with the product. I simply used the new bulb in the old socket and the OEM bulb socket plugged directly into the new replacement housing. The housing was a direct fit to the existing mounting holes.
