The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Lippert brake drum and hub kit. Now, this is a complete 10-inch hub and drum assembly that's made for your 3,500-pound trailer axle. So it's really a common fit for your utility, cargo, and boat trailers. The nice part is this does come fully assembled and pre-greased, as you can see here, which is gonna help save time and it's gonna make installation much easier. So you're not gonna have to worry about hunting down extra parts or packing the bearings yourself.
Now, the hub is going to give you the braking surface for your 10-inch drum brakes, whether you're running electric or hydraulic brakes. This is built from durable cast iron, so this is designed to hold up well over the long haul. And in terms of fitment, this does use the five-on-4 1/2-inch bolt pattern, which is extremely common. And this is going to work with 12 to 15-inch trailer wheels. So overall, this is gonna be a solid, ready-to-install hub and drum setup that's gonna be ideal if you're replacing worn components or building out a 3,500-pound axle from scratch.
So all of the critical components are gonna be already here, including the bearings and the races and the seal. They're gonna all be installed here and pre-greased. And then you're also going to get the zinc-plated 1/2-inch wheel studs or wheel bolts, which is gonna help protect against corrosion. And then the bearing information, let me put some information there for you on your screen. So got the axle rating, the bolt pattern, the brake size this is gonna work with, the stud size, the wheel size compatibility, and also the bearings, the bearing numbers and seal number that you see there on your screen that's going to be included with this.
You're also going to get the correct seal, dust cap, castle nut, cotter pin, and spindle washer. So again, basically everything that you need to mount this onto your spindle. And this does also include the five 60-degree cone lug nuts that are gonna fit the 1/2-inch by 20 bolts. So you're gonna be covered there too. I ordered wrong stud size and they made it very easy to exchange
Fit perfectly. Make sure you measure the width of the studs to ensure proper fitment. You’ll also need the tire size, axle rating. It’s best to call customer service to have them help. Otherwise it’s very confusing with all the different part options. etrailer customer service is superb!!!!!
