The built-in 12V DC fan moves up to 900 CFM, keeping the air inside fresh and comfortable. With four speeds to choose from, it’s easy to dial in just the right amount of airflow. Close the vent and it switches into ceiling-fan mode to circulate air without pulling outside air in. The sealed, fuse-protected ball bearing motor runs quietly and stays protected from dust and moisture.
The manual knob lets you open or close the dome exactly where you want it, then lock it in place. The twin lift-arm design supports the dome evenly, so it won’t flutter in the wind. The high-density polypropylene lid has a smooth, low-profile look when closed, blending cleanly with the roofline.
A built-in keypad sits flush under the vent, giving you quick control of power and fan speed. There’s no need for separate switches or remotes—everything is right there where you use it.
This vent fits roofs 2" – 6-1/2" thick and drops right into a standard 14" x 14" opening. The molded-in flange with rubber weather seal helps prevent leaks, and the included garnish, insulated electrical connectors, and hardware finish the job. It uses a simple two-wire connection—black for power and white for ground—and draws 5 amps.
A built-in bug screen keeps insects and debris out while still letting air flow freely. It’s held in with four retainer clips that twist for quick removal, making it easy to pop out for cleaning or maintenance.

High quality and no problem with installation. Replaced the OEM fan/vent in our 2017 Jayco JayFlight SLX 265RLSW. Certainly pulls more air through the camper than the stock unit with the tiny fan. Also installed the Maxxair FanMate cover and that was ultra simple, snap on the grill, place over the new vent and install the four clips. Installation instructions from Maxxair are clearly written and easy to follow. I like the ability to tow the camper with the vent open and the fan on so the camper is not hot as an oven when we arrive at the camp site. Etrailer.com shipping is quick and the fan and cover arrived in excellent condition as with everything I have ordered from them. The product description videos on their website are an added bonus.

My first review of this fan was less than glowing. We installed it in a class b motorhome , installing was a breeze , connected it to 12 volt circuit started up ran a few minutes then it turned off. Checked everything , turned back on same thing. Called tech support they said bad control board , sent me a new one , installed it. Same thing called them back , eric asked do you have LED lighting on that circuit? Rv owner had converted the lights to led lighting. Ran a seperate circuit for the fan & all is well , fan works great now!!! Took solving a mystery and lots of head scratching but we got it going and are happy with the fan and etrailer.
Easy to install and easy to operate.
Great product and I would recommend to anyone. The hardest part of the entire installation was removing sealant from the old vent and roof. A heat gun helped greatly with this. Don't forget to buy the needed sealants to install the new one.

The fans were a great value work exceptionally well are very quiet. The one thing I did was by a switch and wire it in so I can reverse the fans from intake to outtake. Switches were less than $10 and if I remember right it was a considerable amount more if you bought a reversible fan system so I would highly suggest people to go on [online] and looking at it it’s not that hard to do. Thanks again for all your help look forward to my next purchase from you.

I’m very satisfied with this product. I did modify it and wired in a reversal switch.
Very happy with the fan. I replaced an OEM fan on my older Itasca because of the noise and also the seal had deteriorated over the years. This has several advantages; removable screen, extremely quiet fan, 4 speed motor. I was unable to find a replacement seal for the MaxxFan. Unsure whether a universal seal will work so that could be an issue. Once installed it would be good to know that parts that may fail over time are actually replaceable like the fan blades, the fan motor, the switch and the seal. Can't really tell if any of this is possible.
MaxxFan is the high quality standard for RV fans, and this model cam with easy to follow instructions, written in English, by a person who obviously knows the product well. I was able to complete this job in just under 4 hours - the most difficult part was clearing t e2 inch margin around the fan from the previous installations (I used a paint removal heater gun). Quick, on time shipping, and good recommendation from etrailer!
Not really happy with this product. Expensive fan that will not run for three minutes without turning itself off. Called the mfg , they said bad board they sent a replacement board , worked great for a week now it is back to turning itself off again!!! Not etrailers fault , just a sorry & expensive piece of junk. Wish i had bought the fantastic fan instead. How hard is it to build a 12 volt fan????

Site could use one or two filters to help customers decide which unit to purchase. There is a large number to browse through. Purchase was easy. Great fan, easy installation.
This fan has performed flawlessly for MANY camping tips over the last year. We have a mini camper and I like parking it in the garage. To facilitate this I mounted the fan on the exterior side wall at the trailer nose so it fits under the door. Installation was straightforward and has made our little sleep space very comfortable. One fine value in our opinion. Wholeheartedly recommended.

the fan motors have stopped working. they overheat and stop working, wont start back up till they cool down.

Seams like nice product fit the 141/2 x141/2 opening just fine looks nice but only turned it on twice now to date . Installation was easy

Very easy installation. I'm an average do-it-yourselfer and had no problems. I replaced one of the original vents in a 20 year old Airstream. The hardest part of the installation was removing the old vent, Airstream didn't skimp on the adhesive. The Maxxfan looks good inside and out and the fan is very quiet. I was very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the whole unit. I've already ordered another one to replace the other original vent.
Perfect replacement for our bathroom fan replacement.

Easy install. The hardest part was getting the old vent out and cleaning up the mounting surface. Stuffing the long electric wires into the side was a little fiddley. Cutting the inside trim ring was ok as I used a plastic cutting blade on a jig saw.
I bought 2 about a year ago and boy am I glad I did. They are awesome!!!

Huge improvement over the previous bathroom vent fan. This thing moves a lot of air and is very quiet. Removal of the old fan was a lot of work but the install was very simple. Excellent product and shipping was very fast.
