Question:
MA10A40002K Replacement Lid for MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents - White We have replaced this cover multiple times and it continues to crack and leak. Is there a way to adjust the tension so this doesn’t happen? Or do you have any suggestions?

Unfortunately, Cindy there's no way to adjust the tension, hinges, or mounting brackets on the Replacement Lid item # MA10A40002K.
I'm wondering if your fans lifting arm is bent or twisted. You could replace it with item # MA10-20222KS. This also works with the Maxx Fan item # MA00-04000K and item # MA00A04301K
Where do your lids keep cracking?

I am having the same issues with my lid cracking. I have changed mine 4 times. The lid is not my issue as it seems to be of good quality. I have a 2021 Keystone Cougar with the on command system and the control for the vent fan is on the touch screen with my rear ac. Every time you adjust the ac it makes the fan motor torque down the already closed lid for no reason. That is what causes the lid to crack. I don’t know how you would fix that problem. I have been wanting to change out my whole fan assembly to one that is on a remote and not tied to the ac controls but I haven’t had the time.

Call Max Fan support . They will send you a new control board and cover. The control board senses the pressure to open or close.

My original cover got cracked when a bird accidentally did a kamikaze crash into my cover. I’ve had no problems with the replacement cover, but I checked it pretty closely and nothing else appeared to be damaged other than the cover in the incident. It was easy on with the new one so, possibly, something else got damaged along with the cover?
