Replacement Screw for a Manual Maxxair Locking Knob

Question:

how to replace - 8-32 or 6-32 screw - You are out of stock - I think I have found out it is 2 3/4 inches long but no information whether it is 6-32 9r 8-32 My locking knob shaft just fell out of the maxxair manual operator mechanism. Could not locate the screw, but found remaining parts knob and shaft - no screw? The locking knob is threaded for 8-32 but it seems impossible that a 2 3/4 8-32 screw threaded through the operating knob would disappear. I am convinced the Locking Knob screw is 6-32 and not 8-32. Correct??

From everything I could find, the screw should be the Replacement Locking Knob Screw for MaxxAir MaxxFan and MaxxFan Deluxe # MA10-21241K. However, this is specifically designed to fit the MaxxAir MaxxFan # MA00-04000K or # MA00A04301K or the MaxxFan Deluxe # MA00-06401K. This is due to the knob on these models being on the thick side and the screw needing to go fairly far up into the unit to get purchase. I included an image showing what I mean as well.

With that being said, if you do have a different model, let me know and I can see about finding something else for you.
