Secure Leverlock system ensures that the coupler locks in place on hitch balls measuring 1-7/8", 2" and 50 mm, and the integrated electric reverse lockout lets you back up without activating the trailer brakes. Bolt-on installation.
Features:
Specs:
When you apply the brakes in your tow vehicle, deceleration occurs and momentum pushes your trailer toward the rear of your vehicle. With surge brake systems, the actuator is triggered as your trailer moves forward while the tow vehicle slows. The actuator telescopes, applying force to its master cylinder, which in turn supplies the necessary hydraulic pressure to engage the trailer's brakes.
Electric reverse lockout with solenoid is automatically activated when you shift the tow vehicle into reverse. To use this feature, you must have a 5-pole flat, 6-way round or 7-pole wiring harness.

still working great after a year
Costumer service was excellent, they made sure I had the right actuator for my trailer, probably would have picked the wrong item myself. Product itself is better than the original, seems more robust
The controller that came with the trailer was running the brakes too much and overheating the brakes. This one worked perfectly coming down out of the mountains with a 5,000 pound boat from a fishing trip. easy to install, too!
Very nice looking actuator. Just now putting it on.
etrailer folks are great to work with. I ordered the wrong one and they sent me a shipping label to send it back and the replacement arrived 4 days later.
Very nice experience!
I purchased a Titan actuator to replace a Tie Down actuator which failed in less than 5 years. Same with the Tie Down disc brakes. I purchased the Titan because they are made in the USA. I am not sure but I think Tie Downs are made in China. I find that most things made in China are not well made and have a lot of defects.
Prior to ordering my Titan Leverlock Brake Actuator, I contacted the support team to answer several questions that I had. Everyone was very knowledgeable about the products and very helpful. Once I had my answers, I placed my order and the product was at my house in 2 days. I was sent notifications when the product order was received, shipped and delivered. It was a great experience and the unit installed as advertised with no issues. I would recommend the product and etrailer.com. Thanks
This is not a direct replacement for Aero 6000. Getting brake line to unit is an issue with a folding trailer tongue. Will need to drill holes in trailer tongue for access to wiring and brake circuit. The brake reverse lockout solenoid was not installed and had damage to threads. I needed to hand work the threads to make it fit the master cylinder.
No instructions are available to help with installation.
Fast shipping and very easy to install. This is my first time ever installing brakes on a trailer, and instructions were very easy to follow. The entire project was done in about 4 hours, including 2 trips to the store for supplies I should have had ahead of time (marine grease, brake fluid and bolts).
Product is fine. My old unit was 13 years old and I had to bore out the mounting holes on my trailer to allow clearance of the brake cylinder with the new one.
Product came with no instuctions which was an issue for me since the solenoid had two wires and my old one only had one. I assumed that one should go to ground.
I have not yet worked on trhe lines and brakes but I see no problem there.
My drum brakes locked up on me because it is a boat trailer and gets submerged in water. I hate drum brakes, due how many part are inside and can rust up. I am the 3rd owner of my 1998 boat trailer and it was hard to figure out what I needed to fix it. I contacted etrailer and they were super helpful, super informative and super easy to work with. I told them what I had, and what I wanted to do., and they put a package together for me and that was them. Everything was super east to install because it is all bolt on. I did have to do some cutting and grinding on my old tongue because the master was welded on. That was the only difficult part. My new setup is amazing and the disk brakes and new master make it feel like my boat is not even there. All in all, I am 110% satisfied and will definitely be a returning customer for any trailer needs. Thank you etrailer for making everything super easy.
Does the job but the claws that lock in under the hitch ball are finicky. I have to be careful to time the closing of the locking lever as I lower the actuator onto the hitch ball so that 1) the claws don’t grab the ball to early and seize until I reverse my direction and lift the actuator off the hitch ball, or 2) the claws aren’t too low such that they’re below the “shoulders” of the hitch ball and can’t clear them to lock onto the ball. Too soon or too late with the locking lever and I’m screwed! I’ve fiddled with the adjustment nut, but have not a setting to be fool proof. It does work, I just have to be careful with it. Also, the locking lever is pretty short not very comfortable to push or pull on so it’s hard to get good leverage.
The brake actuator was easy to install and I have been using for about 1 yr. I often have trouble with the latching mechanism. When putting on the ball, the foot that grips the back of the ball doesn’t align resulting in either you having to raise and lower the trailer to get alignment or it can seem like it engages but actually has not. I have tried lubricant but it doesn’t help that much. I have to really look closely at how it is gripping the ball every time to make sure it is safely secured properly. It works but seems more finicky than my other hitches.
Two of the wheel castings had dings on the edge of the seals fits had to buff them off. I removed the bearing cups that came with the rotors and replaced all the new Timken cups and cones. Installation went well and everything worked like it was written up. Thanks would buy again

The new brake system is working great. I should have changed them years ago.
This place has the best customer service. They notified me that the item I order would be out of stock until a later date. We then chose another item and three days later which includes the weekend, I received my item. They extradite efficiently and are very friendly. I have always ordered my trailer parts from etrailer and will continue to do so in the future

I like the actuator better than the old one. Only thing that could be better on this from Titan would be 3 bolt through holes for Trailer tongue but then again I am in to overkill.
Although the surge brake works well, I was disappointed that there were no instructions on how to install, operate or bleed the brake actuator with the shipment and nothing could be found online. Customer and technical support from the Seller and manufacturer for the surge actuator was disappointing.

Product is holding up and working well. No issues with pulling the boat or backing up the boat.
great customer service
Replaced old unit with this one. Was an exact fit. Took about 10 minutes. No issues at all.
Best price available and it was in stock. Fast shipping as well. Can't beat it.
Exact fit to replace my old brake actuator. Had it installed in under twenty minutes. Thanks for the fast service.!
I needed this brake actuator to replace my original 36 year old worn out trailer brake actuator. This was an exact fit and is built better, stronger and will take 3 different trail ball sizes, unlike the original.
I got this hydraulic trailer brake actuator in two days, with free shipping.
Thank you.

Good customer service. Order arrived qu ickly.
Product is OK but packaging could have been better. The unit was a direct replacement for one i bought from you folks 14 years ago. some cost saving changes. Roll pins rather than bolts kinds of things. I combined some of my old unit's parts with the new.
Was easy to install.
When attempting to bleed this surge actuator remove brake line put finger over outlet and pump up, release air and then you can proceed.
Looks to be quality made! Trailer brakes work like a dream. Takes a fair amount of bleeding to get them right, but it doesn’t hurt to pump a full bottle of new fluid through the system. Don’t stop bleeding them until you see all the lines flexing with pressure.
