This surge actuator uses a heavy-duty aluminum master cylinder that’s both rustproof and efficient. It’s built for high-pressure disc brake applications and delivers up to 50 percent greater displacement than standard cylinders, giving you strong, responsive braking. The acetyl copolymer lining keeps everything moving smoothly as the actuator telescopes in and out, so braking feels steady instead of jerky.
Hooking up your trailer doesn’t get easier than this. With the eZ-Latch coupler, you just drop it over your 2-5/16" hitch ball and it locks automatically—no need to hold open the latch or secure it afterward. It’s a clean, one-handed connection that’s quick and solid every time you hitch up.
Backing up used to mean fighting your trailer brakes, but not with this design. The built-in electric lockout solenoid automatically activates when you shift into reverse, preventing the brakes from engaging. It wires into your 5-pole flat, 6-way round, or 7-pole connector so you can move freely in reverse without any extra switches or manual steps.
Between road grime, rain, and salt water, corrosion can ruin an actuator fast—but not this one. The steel body has a durable zinc coating with a 200-hour salt spray rating, and even the master cylinder is rustproof aluminum. The sturdy reinforced casing adds extra durability for long-term use on heavy trailers rated up to 8,000 lbs GTW and 800 lbs tongue weight.
