Question:

I have a 2008 Eagle trailer for a Malibu Response LXI that has a failed Tie Down Engineering LP8000 inner member actuator. I am looking for a replacement actuator and would like to know my options. Thank you

There are a couple options to replace the 8,000 lb TDE LP8000 disc brake actuator (though not just the inner member). One is from Dexter and the other Demco:

- Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ Drop and Electric Lockout - Disc # DM8750311

- Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout - Disc # T4747220

Both attach to a 2-5/16" hitch ball and fit a 3" wide trailer tongue; the biggest difference is the Demco gives you a built-in 4" drop while the Dexter does not.
