This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the contoured handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.

Very heavy duty piece 5/16 steel. I have not installed yet, dis like the fact that it come with a plastic handle as well as no instructions or recommendation as to what hardware they recommend. A little disappointing but when in doubt grd 10.9
the eZ-latch gets stuck all the time, never had a latch do that before. Would not buy another one

Thank you for this. Answers are:Gets stuck in the closed position when its coupled to ball hitch 90 percent of the time I have coupled when handle was open It is possible the stem is bent… not sure how to tell

The stem is going to be hard to get to as it is under the handle. When coupling with this coupler you would want to make sure that the handle is always in the closed position when coupling. When it is in the open position it can bend the stem which would cause the handle to become potentially stuck. You could repair it by using the latch repair kit part # DM6008.
We installed this on a customer's trailer. Everything is great and they're still using it. What we did not like about the product is the plastic lift handle. We prefer a more durable handle as this was installed on a trailer to be used around a farm.

We like the coupler. I was going to install it myself but ended up having some other work done on our horse trailer and had the trailer company install it while it was there. It's very easy to connect the trailer.
Great product, I wish it was more affordable, not a fan of a plastic pull tab handle, seems it will not last long.

Heavy duty and easy to install.Probably overkill for my 4000lb aluminum trailer.Better safe than sorry though.
Great product but the pre drilled and threaded holes were not aligned with the jack hole. I had to drill one new hole for install.
The jack was taken off my old coupler so it’s not a problem with the jack.
Works perfectly, no more forgetting to lock and punching a hole in my tailgate. These are very easy to install.
Jenny was incredibly helpful getting me the closet to but better couple for my aluminum trailer. The manufacturer drilled 3/4 inch hole and then installed 1/2 bolts. Warning to all if buying an aluminum trailer pay close attention to everything that’s bolted on.
Heavy duty item and ready to bolt on my 50 degree A frame trailer which is 4” on an 18ft MaxBuilt. I am upgrading from another Demco coupler which was a 2”” and served me well. I expect the same or better with 2-5/16 to match the Equalizer weight distributing hitch. Tow heavy,Tow safe.
Love them! I have them on my dump trailer and my enclosed cargo trailer. Love the latch feature. No more non latches. The extended length allows my tailgate to clear my power tounge jack.

Still love them. Latching feature is great, but the extended coupler length is what benefits me the most. It allows for tighter turns and allows for clearance for my power tounge jacks on both trailers. Great investment!

You mentioned that the EZ latch has been stuck and so I reached out to the manufacturer. There are a few questions that they wanted to ask. Is it stuck in the closed position? Have you coupled to the coupler when the handle was open? It is possible that the stem inside the coupler is bent which would cause this issue.
