can I purchase just the trigger latch

If you're referring to the Fulton # F44314R0303 you looked at then you can use the Repair Kit for Fulton A-Frame Coupler # F640801. If you have the Buyers Products # 3370091595, a replacement latch is not available which means you would need to replace the coupler.

If you do need to replace the coupler, I recommend the Demco # DM13205-95 instead. This has the eZ-Latch which is similar to the Auto-Latch the Buyers Products coupler has. However, this coupler has a repair kit # DM6008 should you need it in the future.
