Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dexter E-Z Lube Grease Cap and Plug Kit. Now if you have Dexter 12" by 2" hubs with a 5 or 6-bolt assembly, these grease caps are going to be a simple, but important upgrade, or replacement to have on hand. Now these are gonna be a direct replacement for the part number that you see there on your screen, 021-042-01. So if that's what you're currently running, these are going to swap right into place.
Now these are designed to protect your wheel hubs from dirt, grime, and moisture. Basically anything that could contaminate your grease, and cause premature wear. Each set includes two galvanized grease caps with a 2.45" outer diameter. So you're gonna get a snug secure fit that's gonna keep grease in and contaminants out. One really convenient feature are going to be the pop-out rubber plugs in the center.
That's gonna give you easy access to your zerk fitting, so if you have easy loops, an easy loop set up, you're gonna be able to do routine maintenance without removing the entire cap, which is great. So that's gonna help save time, it's gonna keep things clean. Installation's gonna be pretty straightforward as well. You just tap them into place. No special tools are required.
This is gonna be an easy do-it-yourself job, whether you're replacing damaged caps or just keeping spares in your toolbox. So overall, this is gonna be an, inexpensive rather, but essential part that's gonna help protect your bearings, extend the life of your hubs, and make maintenance a whole lot easier.
