Features to know about

Strong Foundation for Heavy Loads: 6,000-lb Capacity and 3" Diameter Tube

This axle beam is built for strength with a 6,000-lb weight rating and a 3" diameter steel tube. The .16" wall thickness gives it extra rigidity compared to lighter axles, offering a solid foundation for heavier builds or long-haul setups. It’s a reliable way to restore or upgrade your suspension so it can handle demanding use without flexing or fatigue.

Smoother, Straighter Towing: Zero Camber Bend for Even Tire Contact

The axle’s built-in bend isn’t a flaw—it’s precision engineering. That contour sets the camber angle so your tires run flat across the tread, giving even contact and steady, straight-line towing. It keeps the trailer tracking true and helps your tires wear evenly mile after mile.

Hassle-Free Bearing Care: Easy Grease Spindles with Built-In Zerk Fittings

Routine maintenance is quick thanks to the Easy Grease spindles. Each spindle has an integrated grease zerk that lets you push fresh grease straight to the bearings (sold separately) without taking the hub apart. It’s a clean, simple way to keep everything lubricated and rolling smoothly.

Ready-to-Go Fitment: Pre-Welded Spring Seats and Spindles

Both the spring seats and spindles come welded in place for a precise fit—89" hub-face-to-hub-face and 74" spring-center-to-spring-center. The underslung design positions the leaf springs beneath the axle for a lower deck height, making loading and unloading easier while keeping the trailer stable on the road.

Built for Long-Term Durability: Certified and Strongly Welded Construction

Every weld is done using a patented process that’s 40% stronger than standard methods, helping prevent spindle failure under load. The assembly meets CSA, QAI, and SAE-N certifications, giving confidence that the axle meets strict safety and performance standards. It’s a tough, dependable beam that’s ready to work as hard as your trailer does.

The product seems perfect but both grease fittings on the axle got smashed and transport I have to replace them

by:

Great customer service quick delivery on orders

by:

The threads on one spindle were damaged. One spindle had a rubber cap protecting the spindle threads, but the other side did not. I doubt the damage occurred during shipping since the axle was well wrapped. I was able to get the spindle nut started (after many attempts) and straighten out the threads. Other than thread issue, the new axle fit perfectly.

by:

Everything is working perfect with that replacement axle. I have definitely put it to the test a lot of miles with a lot of weight. Very highly recommended.

by:

The axle fit great. Just what I ordered. The reason for 4 stars is because the packing did not protect the grease zurc on 1 side. There was a rubber guard that protected 1 side but not the other. Without the cover, the grease zurc was damaged during shipment.

by:

So far performing well. Have not been able to use trailer yet as much as I wanted to, don't use the grease nipples. Its easy to regrease without.

by:

Part was an exact fit

by:

Everything arrived on time.

by:

Excellent fast service

by:

Seems like a quality product. Did not come with nuts for the brake retaining studs though. They are 3/8-24 for anyone who needs to know. I couldn't find this info in the description.

by:

The axles that I ordered last year are still working out great. But even better than the parts was the service I got from etrailer. It was so great working with a company who took the time to listen to my project and help me get the right parts I needed, especially coming right off the heels of a terrible experience dealing with bad information and wrong parts from a competitor. Even with some damages in shipping, the returns/ and replacements were no hassle, with most issues being quickly resolved and not even costing me any additional downtime. As a contractor keeping a small fleet rolling, your competency and professionalism have made me a customer for life!! You guys at etrailer will be my first stop for trailer parts.

by:

Prompt well packaged and excellent qual ity

by:

Great price and good quality. 3500 lbs 4 in 74 in spring ct . Like center grease to rear bearing hole. Packed then removed zerk and then used bearing buddy

by:

The product is very good, but the method of shipping was terrible. Originally, I ordered this about a month ago and the first one was shipped to me by USPS which I never received. I had to call Amy to re-order another one 2 weeks later. The second one was sent by UPS and I received it within four days. Amy is very helpful.

by:

WOW! Super fast shipping! Ordered on Saturday. They said it would be here on Friday, it showed up on Wednesday.

by:

fast shipping and the part fit great.

by:

Does not come with the flange nuts. Not a crazy big deal but it’s one more trip to the hardware store.

Replaced the old axles with these on my 7x16’ equipment trailer, been nothing but amazing since I’ve installed them. Hauled thousands of pounds since and with minor greasing and normal maintenance they’ve been great.

  • Do You Have a 6,000 lbs Axle w/ a 89" Hub Face?
Hey Val. Our Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles item # e23GR is going to be the best option for a 6,000 lbs capacity axle that's 89" long. We don't have any axles with a 68.5" spring seat so you'll need to have a welder install two of the Spring Seats item # TRSS300 per axle to attach the axle to your suspension. The spindles fit item # 25580 inner and item # 15123 outer bearings. You'll also need a set of the U-Bolt Kit for Mounting 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb, Round Trailer Axles...

  • Comparing Dexter And etrailer Brand 6,000 lb Axles
Hey Dave, thanks for reaching out. Our etrailer brand axles are made by a company called AxleTek. They make a lot of OEM and aftermarket parts for trailers. The main difference between those and the Dexter are the Dexter axles are made here in the USA while the AxleTek are not. In my opinion, they are extremely comparable quality wise and if you take the stickers off they are virtually identical. We sell a ton of our etrailer axles, and we have even used them on a few of our trailers...

  • What Is The Difference Between 5,200lb Axle e55gr and 6,000lb Axle e23gr?
Sure is! The only difference between the 5,200lb axle # e55GR and 6,000lb axle # e23gr is the wall thickness of the tubing. They both use the same spindle as it's actually the outer bearing and race in the hub that give extra strength and not the spindle diameter themselves. Since both of these axles are the same length, and same spring seat length, I'd just go with the 6k # e23gr for some extra peace of mind. This won't increase the capacity of your trailer if you originally had 5,200lb...

  • Replacement Trailer Axle Option for 1999 Triton Boat Trailer
The best match replacement we have for your trailer is the Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles part # e55GR which has an 89" hub face, 74" spring center, and 5,200 lb weight capacity. The hub face is longer than what you have but only by an 1" so the wheels and tires will stick out about 1/2" more per side. The spring centers don't match up either but you can move these inward by cutting the old ones off and tack welding them where you need them. If you need a higher capacity, this...

  • How to Determine Correct 5,200 lb or 6,000 lb Axle & Equivalent 8-14.5 Tire
Based on the bearings you gave, that is either a 5,200 lb or 6,000 lb axle, but it's not possible for me to know specifically, that's just the capacities of the hubs that have those bearings. Realistically, to get the exact capacity you'll need to contact Dexter with the serial number. After that, to get the right 5,200 lb or 6,00 lb axle you'll need to you will need to know the dimensions of your current axle's hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center. For example, the...

You'll be perfectly fine going with a 74 inch spring center to spring center axle with 74-1/2 inch spring center. That said we don't have 64 inch hub face to hub face axles with 74 inch spring centers, only 89 inch hub face to hub face and 74 inch spring centers. There are a few different options depending on the axle capacity you need: - 3,500 lbs: Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles # e38GR - 5,200 lbs: Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles # e55GR - 6,000 lbs: Trailer...

The trailer axle components between a 5.2k and 7k trailer axle are essentially all the same so what you are wanting to do overall will work. The axle # e23GR is 3 inch in diameter so the shock kit part # RM-2460 will fit it. The hanger kit part # APS4 though is a single axle hanger kit and since the shock kit is for a tandem setup it's worth mentioning that and offering the tandem axle setup # H248. The U-bolt kit part # CE23003 does fit the axle diameter, as well as the spring seat part...
