Hooking up trailer lights doesn’t have to mean cutting or chasing factory wires. The Curt T-Connector plugs directly into the vehicle’s tail light wiring to give you a 4-pole flat connector. It’s a clean plug-and-play setup designed for vehicles without a tow package, so there’s no guessing which wire does what.
This harness is designed to route through the fenders and out the bottom, keeping the wiring tucked away and shielded from road debris. The connectors sit behind the tail lights, keeping everything neat and secure without drilling or exposed runs.
With its powered converter, the harness draws power directly from the battery instead of the tail light circuit. That means your vehicle wiring stays protected from overloads while the trailer lights get a steady, reliable signal for turn, stop, and running lights.
The 4-flat plug gives you the essentials—running, turn, and brake light functions for most small and mid-size trailers. It’s the standard connection that lets you hit the road with confidence knowing your trailer lights will work like they should.

Fast delivery but what I appreciate more is the communication. Very friendly and help!
Very easy installation
Works great super easy to install until you get to the power cord. Took around an hour to install.
Pretty simple to install, no cutting into your factory wiring. The hardest part is running the power wire.
excellent product, perfect fit on my Mitsubishi outlander 2023. easy to install and great customer support.
Don't like the fact that it has to be connected all the way to the battery. But it works, just too much work to install.
My husband installed he said the power wire was the most cumbersome but the rest of was simple
Hanna was terrific. Good example of the top notch customer service provided by the folks at etrailer. Thank you for being there.
Service was very good
Great company
Sounds easy once it has the connectors built in, but ends up being harder than the one with the splitters, because the car connector is behind a rubber sealant cap, and the harness connector cannot pass through the cap, affecting the sealing, which could cause a short circuit.
Great Harness. Pretty much plug and play. easy to install. the easy part was plugging the harness to the tail lights. No spicing to worry about. the only hard part was running the black power wire to the battery.
It’s the only way to go with the new cars today. You don’t want to cut into the wiring harness to put a universal system in relatively easy to install. I ran the battery wire back through the car instead of underneath and out through the Gromit on the bulkhead into the engine apartment, that was the only thing that really took time to do the rest of it was super simple. You don’t have to do that. You can run the wire underneath, but I figured it would be safer kept in vehicle plug fitment was excellent the only way to go
Hi,
To order it is not a problem, but there was a mistake in the order, it is not the right trailer hitch, so I wanted to return it to change the trailer hitch, but nobody wanted to help me, because the return costs xxx$ Canadian, which is the price of the trailer hitch. So no I didn't get a good after sales service
Got to take apart rear interior to install but pretty straightforward and you don’t have to butcher the factory wiring
High quality products at a fair price and great service / helpful videos!!!
So far the order and delivery process has been outstanding. They expedited the order and kept me well informed as to it’s whereabouts while in transit
This harness is relatively easy to install, yellow to the left, green to the right, black to the battery, and then your towing cable. It comes with pre-wired light connectors so you don't really have to identify each individual light. Only problem is that if you want to install this harness and still use the water rubber seal behind the light, you will need to cut the cables between both tail lights and the control unit and then rejoin them so that you can put the cables through the rubber seal and not the side of it, otherwise you are leaving that water seal open. I looked for other options but I could not find any other space, even the instructions direct you to pass the cables between the bodywork and bumper, which is the cleanest path, but again, you have that problem with the rubber seal. Adding a couple of connectors could make a whole difference.
I needed a kick-in-the-head, but support got me on the right track telling me to go buy a tap to clean mounting holes! The hitch then mounted perfectly!
Easily to install only difficult was running wire to battery very simple install
Perfect fit little hard to install but it’s on and looks terrific not bulky
Item arrived quickly. Secure packaging. Connectors and wiring look heavy duty. Would recommend.
The quality of the hitch and wiring harness was excellent, the tolerances on the hitch were spot on for the vehicle and the installation was fairly easy after reading the included instructions and also watching an install video on you tube. The total install time was about 5 hours but that is based on the fact that I am disabled so it took my wife and I longer plus we wanted all of the wiring to be run with very little exposure We chose to go with the plug and place wiring harness rather than cutting and splicing and that was a huge benefit that I strongly recommend and if you chose to go this way I recommend that you also purchase the Loctite high performance silicone gasket maker because you will need to cut the rubber grommets where the factory wiring comes through the fender. We cut the grommets ran the wiring reinstalled the grommets and the used the gasket maker to repair the cuts. We did not have to detach the muffler as you are able to work the hitch over it and then bolt in place. It is a great hidden hitch as all you see is the receiver box and it looks as though it was factory installed After completing the installation we hooked up to the 9 foot utility trailer she wants to pull and connected the 4-pole flat connector to the trailer and all lights worked as required with no adjustments or do overs necessary. Highly recommend this retailers site especially the ease of finding hitches and accessories by specific vehicle year, make, and manufacturer. Quality products at a fair price.

Still working great was fairly easy to install
Worked great! Your instruction videos made it a snap! Hardest part was getting my 60 year old self under the car to run the power wire to the battery!
Works on the 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander. Wiring back to the battery does not have a lot of easy places to connect the wiring when running, but the harness does work well.

Its recommended that you remove the grommet in question and slice from the edge to the center with a sharp utility knife. This allows you to pass the connection between the opening. You can then reseal the grommet using some RTV sealant like part # LT37467.
