When heavy trailers or bed cargo cause rear sag, these Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs keep your truck level and controlled. Each air spring adds up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support between the frame and suspension. By maintaining even weight distribution, steering response and braking stay steady, headlight aim stays correct, and tire wear stays even no matter how much weight you’re hauling.
Every load feels different, and the F2609 kit adjusts to match. Each air bag is manually adjustable from 5 to 100 psi using individual inflation valves that let you fine-tune pressure side to side for off-center loads. Raise the pressure when towing or hauling to reduce squat and sway, then drop it down when unloaded for a smoother ride that still soaks up bumps without harshness or bottoming out.
The double-convoluted construction with four layers of reinforced rubber and a braided wire girdle gives these springs maximum load support and durability. Corrosion-resistant metal end plates and a rolled crimp seal keep each air bag securely anchored under pressure. This heavy-duty build absorbs road shock, reduces friction in the leaf springs, and prevents permanent sagging so your suspension can handle real work day after day.
Installing real load support doesn’t have to be complicated. The Ride-Rite kit includes custom brackets, air springs, hardware, air line, and separate manual inflation valves for a straightforward bolt-on setup—no drilling required. The airline routing gives easy access at the rear bumper for quick adjustments by hand or with an optional compressor system if you want in-cab control later on.

I looked up your 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Limited, and these are definitely the right ones for you David! Not sure why the instructions would say they are not. Can you check the box that it has part number W217602609 or 2609 on it? Please confirm the part number for me so I can make sure you got the right kit =)

The Firestone helper springs have worked flawlessly. I love them. They make my life easier. I have them installed on my 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT.

Product is still fantastic BUT you must know that these bags do leak and I have a reminder monthly to air them back up to the 10-15lbs that I prefer when unloaded. I also removed the push on connectors and opted for DOT approved type valves and the leaking is now minimized. I opted to go with manual vs an air pump for simplicity sake and do understand that a pump would eliminate the need for monitoring.
