Features:

  • Provides a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights
    • Compatible with 5-pole, 6-pole and 7-pole adapters (sold separately)
  • Connects quickly and easily - no cutting or splicing of wires

Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

It was a direct fit and everything works according. I plan to continue shopping with this company

I ordered in-line trailer electrical kit for my 2000 F150. After attempting to get the spliced lights to work for the umpteenth time, this kit worked awesome the 1st time. Unplugged the factory plugs, plugged this in and away I went. PLUS the kit had a really long lead which is always nice. Much better than anything I could find local ...and those didn't fit.

Comments
It rocks. You wouldnt believe the trouble I had in trying to get the generic ones to work in the past and they never did. I have never been so excited about a trailer wire..haha

Andy gave me some incredible customer service and I'm so happy I went with etrailer for my wiring harness.

by:
Ford F-150

The product did everything it was supposed to do and was very easy to install on my F150. My existing factory installed harness left turn signal stopped working on my trailer; the problem was isolated to be the truck harness so I ordered this product. The only issue I have is minor; I wish the connector would fit in the factory installed bracket instead of swinging loose.

by:

Quality product perfectly fit my truck and works great. Best customer service I've experienced from any place of business ever.

by:

This was easy to install and youtube has a good video of how to do it. The only drawback is that it does not come with a connection to the trailer hitch. I guess they just want it to be dangling beneath the truck. I went to NAPA and got one for about $5 the added a couple nuts and bolts to finish the installation. This is so much easier than splicing wires.

by:

I bought this product to run a hitch brake light or a led light bar under my tailgate. I currently am running a hitch light. Even though it says it is for trucks without factor hoolups it plugs right in to my truck with factory 7 way. The only problem I have is the wires are so long I ran them close to the hitch and then had to zip tie a least 1ft and a half of wire toghter.

2000 Ford F-150

Curt 56031 for a 2000 Ford F-150. Old factory connector was corroded and beyond repair.
Ordered late Monday night with 2 day shipping. Received midday Thursday . Took less than 5 minutes including cleaning my old plug off. Plugged in and zipped tied in place. Plugged trailer connector and had lights. Best money spent even with two day shipping cost. Left for the Outer Banks with boat on Friday. Hint- Used photo of my connector ends and matched to the Curt 4 way plug in photo.

by:
2004 Ford F-150

Wow! Could not have been easier to connect my trailer harness to my Ford F150. Pull the original connector apart & snap in this "T" plug. Great item. Thanks for the [online video] for letting me know that this item was available.

by:
Ford F-150

Plugged it in and in 5 minutes had trailer lights. Could not find the correct harness at any auto parts stores. Will definitely be back for any needs in the future. Ford F150 2/96 with 3rd door.

2005 Ford F-150

Everything worked to perfection. Plug and go is the only way to get connected.

  • Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2002 Ford F-150
The Curt trailer wiring connector part # C56031 is a confirmed fit for your 2002 Ford F-150 so it will work for your truck regardless of if it totally matches what your truck currently has. This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Ford F-150's wiring harness, which is located behind the rear bumper.

  • Recommended LED Tailgate Light Bar Wiring Connection on 2006 Ford F-150
On your 2006 Ford F-150, if you don't have the factory 7-way then you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56031 to run your LED light bar. The factory wiring to connect to is located behind the rear bumper. If you do have the factory 7-way, then I recommend the Reese Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way & 4 Pole Trailer Connector # 74682 which will give you the 7-way at your bumper and the hidden 4-way to give you a clean light bar connection.

  • Replacement Wiring Harness for 2005 Ford F-150 with Factory 4-Pole Trailer Connector
Thank you for the photo! The Curt T-Connector # C56031 you purchased is the correct replacement wiring harness for your 2005 Ford F-150 without a factory 7-pole connector (only a 4-pole) regardless of the style of connector on the factory harness. The Curt T-Connector # C56031 will actually connect directly into your vehicle taillight wiring harness (bypassing the tow package harness). This harness will have the same connector end as the # C56031. The most common location is underneath...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2007 Ford F-150
It sounds like that 2-pin connector you found might be related to power lights or a brake light in/on a camper shell. If it is not that then I am not sure what it would be for but I can tell you that it will not be for trailer wiring. To add a 4-Way on your 2007 Ford F-150 you can use # C56031. I have included a link to a video review of this harness for you.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring on 2005 Ford F-50 Not Functioning
Typically when trailer lights are acting up the problem is actually the grounds of the light assemblies or the ground of the main trailer connector. If you can ensure the grounds are making a solid connection and verify that there is no corrosion in the connectors that will most likely take care of the problem. If there is corrosion clean it out with a wire brush or sand paper. You also can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test the pins of your current 4-way to see if the connector...
