The legs are angled beyond the platform of the step to increase stability. The leg tips are made of rubber to keep the step from moving beneath you, and they are angled 30 degrees to ensure full contact with the ground. Together, these unique features make up the anti-tip design, which ensures that the step remains stable and won't wobble or tip, even if you stand on the very edge of the platform. Another safety feature is the non-slip strips on the step platform, which provide traction even in wet weather.

I ordered both the SASXL-08C-G & SASXLA-09C-G & Stromberg Carlson S-150 Safety Steps for use on my 5' X 8' Custom Cargo Trailer. I did side by side comparisons on each of these 3 steps, considering weight, longevity, storage, and most importantly stability. This Model SASXL-08C-G Step WON OVER above these others! Well made, light-weight, easy handling, Very stable when you properly spread the legs out. Very Happy with this model Safety Step. You get what you pay for! just what I needed
This step will be used at a charter bus operation. I have been driving charter busses since 1993. Older senior citizens need help negotiating that first step. I like that the legs fold up.

Big and stable base secure step
Use with work truck. 2 more inches, would have been ideal. Last step, not like this, lasted 10 years. Expect this to last much longer.
The height was perfect for our dogs to look out the window. The step saved us a lot of time in not having to construct a platform. I am sure we will find other uses in and around the house. We liked how the legs snap open and close when not needed.

Continues to be a work horse. So many people have asked where I got it and I am happy to let them know.
It's a step. Works great. Unfortunately, it was abused, and needed to be replaced. Rubber feet fall off easily, and if people are too lazy to properly fold the legs in, the locking mechanisms break.
Excellent item. I recommend 100%.
This step is really heavy duty and with a large platform. It arrived fast. First thing I did was take it out of the box and stood on it with my 300 plus pounds of weight in the kitchen-very stable and strong. This step exceeded my expectations. I bought it for our camping trailer which has a high lift axle. My wife likes it so much she wants it left in the house to do chores. Guess I might have to buy another one for the camper. ETTRAILER was the only company that had this SAFETY STEP in stock without having to back order. Thankyou!
Excellent product. Very sturdy and well built. The first step into our camper is just too high. This is a real good way to get in and out of it safely. We also like the yellow safety color drawing attention to its being there. The large size of the platform is also great!
Bright in color but construction is gre at!
We purchased this large step for our Class B RV. The running board step is small and narrow and one had to be careful entering and exiting the RV. This step is large enough to place your entire foot on it and is extremely sturdy. Its large enough so that it is easy to not miss when stepping in and out. It is one of the best purchases we have made for the RV. We would HIGHLY recommend it! We would give it 10 stars if we could!
