Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson E-Track Tie Down Ring, offering a 2000 pound safe working load limit, the part number is 59147.This tie down ring from Erickson is designed to give you tons of different options to get this installed at any point along your E-Track that you decide to. Whether that's going to be on the wall or on the floor it's a very sturdy ring. Offers a 2000 pound safe working load limit.Basically, comparing that to some of the other strap types with D rings and stuff, it's one of the strongest out there and available. Goes right up to the safe working load limit of your E-Track, which is also 2000 pounds. It's very easy to connect these. Not a lot of hassle associated with it. You can see the nice wide release there, that's going to be different than what you see on other ones, too.
Typically, it's just a little thin piece, but we'll press down, slide that up on the track, tilt the bottom in, and then just let it go down. You can see that gives us a nice, secure, connection point where it can easily connect either a rope, if we want to lash something down, or one of our Cam Buckle Straps, or ratchet straps, the hooks will easily connect for us.Here's a good example of one of the many ways people use a ring such as this. Basically, we're going to strap down our UTV. Of course, we'll want to do it on al four tires. We've got one of our rings behind the tire now.
We'll place one in the front side here. That will allow us to bring our strap hook down to make that connection, and then it's just a matter of tightening our strap up.Now, the standard ring isn't your only option when it comes to connection points for your E-Track. They are also going to have the polyester web style strap, this one's from Erickson, this one's from Titan. These are going to offer a D ring on the end, so you have a little bit larger area, I suppose, to where you can get connected. They're going to work with your straps, or with rope, just the same.
These offer a little bit more flexibility in angle then what we get with the ring. The area in which it connects to the trailer is a little bit different, you don't have that nice wide tab that we talk about, this goes back to the narrower tab that we discussed. The weight capacities on these are not as high as what you get out of the steel ring type. Another thing I would caution you on, with this style connector, if you're going to be pulling downward on it, you'll notice it's going to bunch up down there in the bottom, and you're going to have unnecessary stress on that top portion of the strap. You're not going to have it on the bottom, so it's not going to be as evenly distributed.I definitely think if you want to pull down, or at an angle, the ring here is a much better option to get that job done. That's going to complete our look at the Erickson E-Track Tie Down Ring, part number 59147.

The installation of the track went very well on my small utility trailer. I’ve also added 4 flush mount anchor rings, and I have additional Etrack rings on the way. I have lots of options for strapping down items. I’ll be adding sidewalls and those will get Etrack also.
I think these rings are great! Combined with the track, they allow me to place tie downs wherever I need them. They’re certainly strong enough for my needs with a utility trailer. I installed the track at the outside edge of the floor on both sides, then installed 4 flush mount rings down the middle. I can pretty much secure anything I need to. First time I took the trailer out I had stored the rings by hooking three on each track at the end of the trailer. The trailer was empty and the stiff springs make the trailer bounce hard on even minor bumps. When I got back home after a short drive, I found one of the rings missing. I can only guess that the violent bouncing must have dislodged the ring since it was not under and load and allowed to rattle off. Not sure. Now I lace some webbing thru all the rings and cinch it tight. Keeps them from getting loose and stops their rattling noise. Haven’t lost any more rings!
my first time to install and use E-track and accessories and am very happy with the quality of the product. our cargo trailer is used for hauling mostly antiques and furniture we intend to use this tie off ring to connect our existing straps which do not have the required end track fittings.
the picture shows using new straps also purchased.

everything is fine tie downs have worked well
Personal preference really but the loop is pretty small to use with rope and the release lever is pretty large and sometimes feels like it can get in the way. The standard E-track snap-ins have a much smaller release lever.
Very strong & secure. Has large attachment rings which makes it easier for connecting tie down straps. The cheaper ones don't.

Its the safest way to secure cargo.
Great hooks work perfectly
Probably overkill using 4 of these to anchor a 1,000-lb trike, Harley Heritage with Mystery Designs independent rear suspension. But, I like security! fast shipping, great prices and service from etrailer.com.
Thanks, helpful products for me setting up a vintage toy hauler to secure my bikes. Prompt efficient service too.

I appreciate the follow up. Your products continue to provide great service and give me nothing but pleasure whenever I use my vintage Penton toy hauler. Thanks again.
Works great, absolutely no issues with binding or loss of functionality. Used on a consistent basis in our lawn and landscape trailer.
I had to change my quantities on a couple of items and the team at E-Trailer were more than helpful and all my items were delivered on time.
Works great
I really like the E-track system. All the components that I’ve ordered and received came well packed and undamaged… even the 8’ sections of track. I’ve installed the track on the floor of my small utility trailer. I purchased the galvanized track and thru-bolted it with plenty of galvanized hardware. Very pleased with the overall quality, design, and strength of all components and plan to order more.
They look well built overall. However they came wrapped in plastic which was ripped and torn. They were scuffed up I assume in transit. Packaging could be improved.
I've used these E-Track rings for many years on other trailers. I just bought more for my new trailer. I generally haul ATVs in my trailer and over the years had ATVs jump lose from their tie-down straps from driving on bad roads, potholes, etc. However, regardless of the hazards, I've never had an Erickson E-Track ring jumped out of the track, break, crack, etc. They are extraordinarily strong and are very easy to attach and remove.

Great
I'm a High School Band Director who uses a trailer to get instruments from performance venue to school and back. My previous trailer didn't have any E-track hardware and I just did the best we could. There was always a great deal of shifting of equipment during transport. Now that my current trailer has E-track hardware, I can secure all of my equipment easily and quickly reorganize the entire trailer according to the job's requirements. If you've not got E-track, get it. It's more than worth it's cost in saving of time and convenience.
Love these tie down connectors. Easily moved around the trailer to accommodate the load.

E-Tracks work very well. Have them installed on a 16 flatbed trailer and a 6x10 motorcycle trike trailer. Never had a problem with either trailer holding the load.
The etrack and quick moving d rings matched very well with the track installed by the manufacturer of our cargo trailer. We have made several long trips hauling furniture, patio doors and windows. All track and d rings have held up well, with no distortion or failure during use.
This is an amazing product ease of use is beyond my wildest expectations.
Very please with the whole process!
I bought several items and they have surpassed my expectations. I bought the E-track, ED-track straps and E-track Tie-down rings all have worked really well. i will definitely purchase items again. Great service!
The ordering process was excellent with no surprises, They kept me informed on each step of the way until delivery. I will definitely purchase from them again.

Haven’t really used it much, but when I have it’s been really good to know that loads of any size and shape can be strapped down securely. The easily moved tie-down rings give secure points wherever I need them. Now that I’ve completed the side walls, I’ll be adding Etrack to the insides at the top. That will allow me to add the clip-in pockets for 2x4 cross pieces for occasionally extra load space
