Video Transcript for Review of the TorkLift GlowStep Collapsible Step for Campers w/ Basement Storage

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Torklift GlowStep collapsible step for campers with basement storage. Now this collapsible step was specifically designed for campers that have built-in basement storage. As you know, on those campers, there is typically a large space between the door and the bumper, which can make it difficult to climb in and out of your camper. So by simply bolting this step onto your camper's bumper, you can be able to bridge that gap allowing for a more carefree entry. Now this is going to work with bumpers that have a footprint of, let me line this up here, of at least 24 inches wide or long, however you'd like to identify that measurement.

So 24 inches. And then in regards to the depth, right at eight inches. So that's the measurement of those mounting brackets as you can see. So as long as you have a footprint of at least 24 inches long and eight inches deep, this is gonna be able to work for you. And to install this step, you're simply going to bolt those mounting brackets onto your camper's bumper, directly beneath your door threshold with the included hardware that you see here on my table.

And as you probably can expect, drilling will be required to properly anchor this step to your bumper. So to use this step, you're just going to position the built-in braces that you see right here on either side of the step so that they can brace the uprights against the bottom mounting bracket. And to secure the braces in place, you are just going to use the included pin and clips here that you see. And then if you need access to the basement storage, you're just gonna remove those pins and clips and then collapse this down. So let me see if I can give you a brief demonstration of that.

So I'm gonna go ahead and remove the pin and clip on that end and the pin and clip on this end. Obviously this is gonna work a whole lot easier when this is mounted to your bumper. But as you can see, this is just going to collapse just like that. So it's gonna be out of your way, then you're gonna be able to get to your storage. And it really has a pretty flat profile there as you can see.

So let me see if I can go ahead and bring this back up so it can be used as a step once again. So I'm just going to line up the braces. Let me make sure I'm lined up here. So I'm just going to line up those holes, run the pin through, make sure I can see the hole there. The pin and clip in that one. Let me connect this one. And this is going to be just as simple as that. So let me just give you an overview here once again, now that the step is back in the upright position. Now you're not going to be able to see this on camera if I shut my lights off unfortunately, but this is a GlowStep from Torklift so I did wanna point out that you do have a glow tape here. So you do have a piece here and then you do have, this logo here is also another piece. So those two pieces of glow tape are going to glow for your safety in low light or dark conditions, allowing you to safely climb in to and out of your camper at night. And in case you didn't know, these stickers are gonna glow in the dark for up to 10 hours with only five minutes of light exposure. Now this is made here in the USA of aircraft grade aluminum. So this is durable and it's going to be rust proof. And it has this really nice black powder coat finish. It's gonna hold up really well for you. I don't think I mentioned it, but there's actually these ridges here on the surface of the step. So that's gonna give you the added confidence and stability when you're stepping on this step, especially when it's wet outside. You're gonna have a nice sure grip on the surface of this step. This has a weight capacity of 325 pounds. Again, a weight capacity of 325 pounds. And then let me go ahead and give you the measurements of the platform itself. So lining that up there, we're sitting pretty close to 20 inches on the platform. And then the depth there, let me see if I can line that up there for you. So you can see, pretty close to six inches there. So 20 by six on just that platform. This does have a lifetime warranty from Torklift. And if you like this step, this is exactly what you need. But the black finish is not going to match your current camper. The good news is we do also carry this in white. So on your screen, I am including our model number for the white version of this step. Everything is exactly the same. It just has a white finish instead of the black. So you can take that item number, put it in the first field of our website, that will take you to the white one, and you can take a look at that and add that to your order if you so desire.
