Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the safety step, heavy-duty aluminum platform step in yellow, has 1,000-pound weight capacity. Now, this is a nice large 12-inch tall step that'll give you extra lift where you need to get to those hard-to-reach places. And it is a very rugged step, works anywhere you go. Stands up to nice tough work on any job sites, warehouses and even at your home. Now, we mentioned the step gives you a 12-inch rise.
Now, the normal stair rise that you walk up steps is about 7 to 11 inches. So this is just a little bit taller but it's pretty hard to notice, it's pretty easy to still get up on. It is a nice sturdy lightweight construction. You can see, it only weighs about 9 and a half pounds. It's made of corrosion resistant aluminum and you can see the way it's constructed with the cross members, the braces right here.
That's why it meets the 1,000-pound capacity. Now it has an anti-tip design. So you can see, when you put it down on the ground, it's not gonna tip over. It'll allow you to stand anywhere on the platform, so when you get up on it, even if your way over on this edge, it's not gonna flip up or tip over. The rubbered-leg tips on the ends right here, these will provide increased contact area with the ground, keep the step from sliding, so you can see when you go to get up on it, it's not gonna go anywhere.
It's very secure. And on the very top of the platform, you can see the black non-slip strips that ensures solid footing with your shoes, so if you go to move one way, your shoe is not gonna slide off. And you can see it has a nice yellow color, so it's very easy to see, and automatically suggests caution so people will be able to see it and not run into it. Now a few specs on this, just wanna zoom in, the platform itself up at the top here, the length is 19 inches long this way, 14 and a half inches this way and from the floor to the top it's 12 inches. The overall spread you can see how it angles out, so if we measured this way, it's gonna be 27 inches, this way, 21 inches.
And again we mentioned the weight capacity of 1,000-pounds. Zoom back out, but again you can see very easy to get up on, very safe, secure. You don't feel like you're gonna slide off or tip over.
