Features to know about

Stay Level Under Heavy Loads: 8,600-lb Rear Suspension Support

When a trailer or bed load starts weighing your rear end down, these hollow rubber springs step in with up to 8,600 lbs of extra support. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System sits above the rear axle to keep your truck level and steady under heavy loads. It helps reduce squat so your steering and braking stay consistent even when hauling something big. The springs work progressively—soft for light loads, firmer as more weight is added—so you always get balanced support without losing control.

Smooth Out the Rough Stuff: Hollow Rubber Springs That Absorb Shock

Rough roads and bumps don’t have to beat up your suspension. Each Aeon hollow rubber spring takes the brunt of road shock, helping cushion impacts and keeping the ride comfortable when loaded. By absorbing vibration before it reaches the frame, they cut down on bounce and porpoising that can wear out your stock suspension. The result is a smoother, more stable ride with less bottoming out and less strain on your leaf springs.

Keep Control in Curves and Crosswinds: Independent Side-to-Side Action

Heavy loads can make your truck lean or sway through turns, but these springs work independently on each side to counter that movement. When one side compresses, the other stays firm, helping reduce body roll during sharp turns or quick swerves. That independent action also helps with off-center loads and keeps the trailer steadier in crosswinds, giving you a planted feel whether you’re towing or carrying uneven cargo.

Simple, Maintenance-Free Setup: Bolt-On Design with No Drilling

Adding serious suspension support doesn’t need to be complicated. This system replaces the factory bump stops and bolts directly to the frame rails using vehicle-specific brackets and included hardware—no drilling required. There are no air hoses, compressors, or adjustments to worry about once installed. Just a reliable set-and-forget design that’s ready every time you hitch up or load down the bed.

Very easy to install. Improved the ride of my truck when pulling a 35 ft fifth wheel.

by:

Awesome customer service and follow up. Easy installation. Pry bar, couple of 2x4 wood blocks, floor jack and a little WD40. Weight of the truck seats the new bumpers in and you're good to go. Literally took me 20 minutes to remove and install. Can't wait to tow our 5th wheel.

Excellent!!! Takes the long extended bounce out of bumps/dips in the road. Helps keep the truck from sagging with a big payload as well.

by:

Excellent when loaded , terrible when not. I tow my camper to Florida for 5 months & take ghe timbres back out until I head back in 5 monthes to get my ride quality back . But works great when in & hailing my 5th wheel camper

by:

If you tow all the time with them. Probably be a good product. Not good empty. Solid hits on rear axle.To sniff of a ride empty.

by:

A lot harder to install than the video shows. There isn't much room to work. I used my toy hauler to install them, which made it easier. You would need two sets of hands to hold them into place. But overall, way better than stock bump stops.

by:

About a 1/2 inch difference in gap at the bump stop perch but still within parameters. Truck sits perfect with trailer attached. Haven’t towed yet. After towing if they perform like they should will upgrade to a 5 star. Easy to install, definitely needed 2x4 and jack. 2011 Silverado ext cab with 30 ft Genisis 5th wheel.

I am very pleased with Timbren SES. It does excellent when towing. It can stiffen ride without a load on rough roads, but does not take away advantage of having it installed.

Haven’t tested them out yet but the construction of these bump stops
Looks really good.they are very easy to install no problem

by:

I had bought these timbrens and the weight safe hitch with the 8” drop from etrailer. I was quite please by both products. Installation of the timbrens was very easy, only took 30-40 minutes to change out bump stops in my garage.I hauled a Uhaul trailer with a Jeep over 300 miles, with no issues. The timbrens worked great, no issues with the rife. And I really like the weight safe hitch. I recommend checking out these two products from etrailer. Thanks etrailer.

Great no issues, made a couple trips out to California pulling heavy trailers, the hitch and timbrens are working out great.

by:

Just made my first tow with the Timbren SES, so far so good! I do feel that the truck is more stable.

by:

Install them, tried them out, within one day I remove them. These are not for trucks with minimal tongue weight on your trailer. I only have six or seven hundred pounds of tongue weight on my 25' travel trailer which doesn't even let the top mainspring on my Silverado 2500 start working. So what you get with these SES bags is you hit a bump you're throwing up in the air and when you come down the bags slam the axle. It made my truck so rough I was afraid that within a month my truck would be beat to death. So unless you have an excessive amount of weight I would say more than 1,500 lb or more, they do not work.

by:

Second set I have purchased. These went on a GMC 3500 fully 2022. Easy install and works great pulling a large fifth wheel and gooseneck trailer. Basically reduces squat.

@Kenneth Glad the Timbrens are still working when you need them Kenneth. Hopefully one day Timbren will come up with a way to help the ride quality when your truck is unloaded. I see you are mainly using them for a gooseneck and a 5th wheel, any fun trips planned for the year?

Easy install. Works as expected. Handles my 5th wheel without issues. 1 year in use as of this review, and about 7,000 miles pulling.

by:

3rd time having Timbren installed a truck. I have towed fifth wheel trailers with and without the Timbrens installed, and I can say you will bot be disappointed. No change to ride quality without a load, and significant improvement with a load. 30 minute install. You cannot go wrong!

by:

I like that when my 3500 HD is loaded with my truck camper, the Timbren SES engages the axle even when parked so my overload springs are not used until cornering or hitting bumps. They stabilize the truck when parked as well as driving.

by:

These are so easy to install and keeps our GMC Sierra 3500 nice and level when hooking up the 15,000# 5th wheel camper. The ride is much smoother when you have a heavy load. I wish I would have bought these sooner.

by:

3500 Silverado Diesel
Good quality product
Expensive
for what they are
Truck rides smooth on highway however when towing and my trailer hits any pothole or uneven road surfaces causes a harsh hit when suspension compresses (pa roads suck)

by:

Love em! Ride is great, especially under load and with trailers. Assuring to know they are there and just perform. No servicing. Just work.

by:

Easy install in 30 minutes. Lift truck slightly, use a long pry bar to get them seated and then followed directions with a 2x4 with some wood shims to compress and let them finish pressing into the holders. No contact when not loaded. Happy with purchase and installation.

by:

The Timbren SES is a simple solution for rear squat when towing. When hitched to my 30' Airstream Globetrotter (8800 GVWR) with a tongue weight around 1200 lbs, my Silverado 2500HD had a bit more squat than is ideal. I shopped airbags but didn't want to spend ~$2K for the set up and didn't want the hassle of installation and forever chasing air leaks. The Timbren SES literally installs on the Silverado in about 15 minutes. So simple. No bags, no compressor, no wiring, no air lines, no leaks. And WAY less expensive to boot. Just returned form a 600+ mile trip and it towed flawlessly.

  • Does Timbren Suspension Enhancement Fit 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 ZR2
Hey Jordan, Yep, I went ahead and verified directly with Timbren the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Severe Service # TGMRTT35D are indeed a fit for your 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 ZR2. That said, the Severe Service kit is designed for trucks that have in-bed campers or are used as work vehicles (like salt spreaders, etc.). So if you have an in-bed camper you keep on this will be great, but if you want the suspension upgrade for things like helping stay level while towing a trailer,...

  • Suspension Enhancement for 2020 GMC Sierra 2500
If you're towing most of the time then I would go with the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRCK25D. These will provide the most support for your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 while towing your 5th wheel. If you're more concerned about ride quality then the RoadActive Suspension # RAS3611-HD would be the better choice. The Timbren has a tendency to be a bit rough when you aren't towing or hauling. If you want the best option possible I would go with the Firestone Air Bags # F2709....

  • Rear Suspension Helper Springs for a 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer
Hello, I will be happy to help you select some helper springs to improve the ride and level out the truck when you are towing. Timbren springs are an easy install but they will make the ride stiffer when you are not towing. The similar SumoSprings Solo # SSR-207-47 will also level out the truck but will not be as stiff when not towing compared to the Timbren springs. The difference is the 25D is a standard duty kit, while the 35D is a severe service kit. The severe service kits are intended for vehicles with a constant heavy load in the bed like a truck bed camper, or salt spreader. They are designed to be constantly loaded. The standard duty kit is more suited for towing applications like travel trailers...

The Timbrens are notoriously harsh and bouncy and since that's not what you want I would definitely avoid them at all costs. It replaces your factory bump stops and helps support the rear when you’re towing or hauling, so you get less squat and a more stable ride. The Trail Boss package doesn’t change the fit for this, so it will bolt right on without issues. One thing to keep in mind is the Timbrens are made of dense rubber so it will...

Using the offset ball will put more weight 4 inches back from the center of the gooseneck ball hole in the truck bed. This may or may not affect the truck. For that I would go with the part # TGMRCK25D though over the # TGMRTT35D as it would still give you the support you are looking for without being too harsh.
