Hi Mary,

Do you leave the camper in the bed most of the time or does this truck spend a good chunk of time driving around without the camper? The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-211-54 would be a great option if you leave the camper in the bed all the time. They take about 20 minutes to install and would just essentially replace the factory jounce stops for hassle-free, no-maintenance load leveling support. These have a 2,800lb capacity so they're be a bit stiff when the truck bed is empty and can give you a bit of porpoising, which can be annoying.

If you take the camper off and drive around I recommend going with a RAS system instead. These would sit on top of the factory leaf springs and only engage as weight is added so you won't have issues when the bed is empty. If you have factory top overload springs then you'll want part # RAS3611-CHD, and for models without a top overload spring you'll need # RAS3611-HD. Both of these systems have a 3,000lb load-leveling capacity.

thank you, what about the Timbren TGMRCK25S? Would those cause a rougher ride since they are 6000 lb capacity?

@MaryM The Timbren # TGMRCK25S would for sure give you a rougher unloaded ride quality. They're rated for 6,000lbs and your payload capacity is only 3,000 - 4,000lbs depending on the specifications of the truck. Sticking around the capacity of your vehicle is going to be the best way to minimize any negative affects from your suspension enhancement.
