Hey Lyle!
Thanks for reaching out. I understand the confusion on the Timbren kits for your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, and this should clear it up.
The correct kit for your truck in most cases Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRCK25D. This 8,600 lbs kit is for the rear of a non-modified Silverado 2500HD and works with both 2WD and 4WD. It's a double-convoluted spring, which means that it's made with two flexible sections stacked together, which gives it more room to flex and expand. It's also compatible with an in-bed hitch, so a fifth wheel hitch or gooseneck would not change the fitment of this bump stop.
The Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRTT35D is rated for 8,000 lbs, but it's a severe-service kit. It's intended for trucks that carry a heavy load much of the time, such as a truck with an in-bed camper, salt spreader, or other permanently mounted equipment. Its single-convoluted springs are designed to engage sooner and provide firmer support under those constant-load conditions. That's why its lower 8,000-lb rating doesn't necessarily mean it's a lesser kit, and the price isn't determined strictly by the weight capacity.
There is also the 8,000-lb Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System # TGMFK25D, but that kit is for the front axle rather than the rear. It would typically be used to help support something like a snowplow or other heavy front-mounted equipment.
What are you planning to tow or carry with your Silverado, and will the extra weight stay in the truck most of the time or only when you're towing or hauling?

I have a GMC 2500, I tow a 28’ Airstream with a tongue weight ~1100lbs. These Timbrens work great and piece of cake to install. GMRCK 2500.
