Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall when loaded. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride when loaded or towing because the rubber has more travel.
This product works great! I got them for towing my camper and they really help eliminate the bounce when towing. They’re easy to install yourself. This is actually the second set that I bought because I bought another truck and put them on it as well.

Great product so far. If you can change a flat tire, you can install these. Put these on my 2018 GMC 2500 to pull a fifth wheel. It limits the amount of squat while towing, and greatly enhances stability. Easy solution for not much $.
Very easy to install but not sure they help much. It appears to make my ride much rougher as it doesn't seem they have my shock absorption.
The Timbren product works as advertised, and do their job well. Too stiff for my purpose, suggest that everyone heed the manufacturer's clear note that this specific system is for continuous heavy loads.

I've had them for about a year now. I use my 20 ranger as a tow rig and just an overall work truck and these have been one of the best decisions. I used to have them on my 2500 and never noticed any difference but on the ranger it's a night and day. Will run again on any other truck I have in the future
No hardware was in the box, or instructions. Box was factory sealed, so it puts their quality in question. Picture shows the nuts and bolts to install but none are in the box.
Ordered type Timbren system. Had a question before buying, sent email and within an hour it was answered. Ordered and installed with no issues.
Did not stop read end sagging did not level it out. What a huge waste of money first and last product purchase from etrailer :(
It did what it was supposed to do. When I wasn’t towing, it definitely made for a rougher ride, but it was nice when I was towing. Unfortunately I sold the truck with them installed so I will look to buy new ones for my 2015 F-150

I use this in my Ram pickup because I often have a slide in truck camper loaded. I used to use air bags, but I much prefer these springs. The truck stays level and you don't have to adjust anything. Easy install also.
Easy to install and works perfect NO more sag on my truck I have push it past its rated limit and never had any issue.
These worked great for my family and I in our 2019 Honda Odyssey. Our last trip was to Myrtle beach and we were loaded to capacity, our van handled the extra weight just great! I also towed a small car on a dolly to my home, about 15 miles and our van composed greatly. Sadly our van is gone but the experience of Timbren will always be with me!
Works great, easy install
The difference these made in our RV was like night and day! It reduced the sway to nothing, the rattling from the inside is basically gone (unless you hit a pothole or big bump) super easy to install I'm a 60 y/o lady and I installed them myself.
These enhanced bump stops greatly increased my capacity and therefore maintained ride height. When not under a load the vehicle rode like factory !!! I have a gmc 1500 4 door that i carry a 100 gallon water tank skid and pull a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer. Was having issues but these inexpensively solve my load problems.

Product has done exactly what I wanted it to do while towing with the F150 (Limit the sag and porpoising). The only potential negative is that you will bottom out easier over speed bumps but you can avoid that by slowing down to a normal speed. Also after 6 months you rarely feel it. Great Product and worth every penny.
This was very easy to install. It does require removing the wheel to install them but that is the most difficult part of the install so it's a 1 banana job. As far as function they work as advertised. I used these to tow a 5500 lb trailer. Also had a Thule box on top of the Sequoia and 4 passengers. There was a little sag (rear lower than the front) while towing but not bad maybe an inch or less. Going over bumps felt controlled with no harshness. I have used air bags on other vehicles. Although they allow more control of the ride height I don't like having to spend several hundred for an in cab controller or fiddling with adjusting the air frequently. These are a good compromise for me and did a fine job.
