Features to know about

Keep Your Truck Level and Confident: Up to 5,000 lbs of Load-Leveling Support

Hauling a heavy trailer or carrying a full bed load can make your rear end sag and throw off your steering and braking. The LoadLifter 5000 air helper springs provide up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your truck level front to rear. By reducing strain on your factory suspension, they help maintain safe headlight aim, improve handling, and give you a more stable, confident ride every time you tow or haul.

Fine-Tune Ride and Handling: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5–100 psi

Not every load is the same, and these air bags let you dial in the ride exactly how you want it. With adjustable air pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi, you can pump them up for heavy towing or drop the pressure for a smoother ride when empty. Each spring can be inflated independently for side-to-side leveling when loads are uneven. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included for easy access—typically mounted on the bumper.

Built Tough for Long Hauls: Reinforced Rubber and Zytel Nylon Endcaps

The LoadLifter 5000 is built to handle real work. Each air bag uses 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber for strength and flexibility, while the endcaps are made from high-strength Zytel nylon that’s lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates protect the springs from damage and increase their load capacity, extending the life of your suspension system.

Smooths Out the Rough Stuff: Reduces Sway and Road Shock

Even with a heavy trailer or camper behind you, these air springs keep things steady. They reduce body sway, absorb road shock, and help your vehicle feel planted over bumps and uneven pavement. You’ll notice better control when braking or steering under load, whether you’re pulling through mountain grades or cruising down the highway.

Easy to Install and Ready to Work: Complete Kit with Hardware

Everything needed for installation is included—mounting brackets, hardware, manual inflation valves, and air lines. Just mount the springs, inflate them through the valves, and hit the road. The setup works with optional compressor systems (sold separately) if you want in-cab control later on. It’s a straightforward way to get dependable rear suspension support that keeps your truck level and ready for whatever you’re hauling.

The bags were an easy install. Don't nned much air to raise and lower. Has helped when pulling our 34' fifth wheel. Smoother ride for sure. Keeps me level. Just need to run a couple of pounds when not hauling or it will be a rough ride.
Overall very happy with the purchase.

Finished the install last weekend fairly smoothly. I jacked up one side of
the truck at a time since I only had one jack. Had to put the jack on
cinder blocks to get it high enough to engage the leaf spring front mount.

One comment/suggestion for the installation guide. The only thing I
struggled with was the parking brake cable. It was exactly in the way of
engaging the bottom bracket to the axle. No matter how I moved the bracket
it would not clear the cable. Then the light came on, release the brake
dummy! Once the brake was released there was plenty of room
to engage the
assembly onto the axle. Of course, I did put some chalks on the front tires
to keep the truck from rolling while I was underneath...

No leaks, and it seems to ride much smoother than before.

Thanks for a great product,

I still like the product but it seems to have a slow leak somewhere and will not hold air pressure for a week at the original setting. Guess I need to do a bubble leak test, just have not gotten to it. Other than that the product is great.

Still works great! I am happy with it. I tow a heavy trailer a few times a year and this works very well. I keep a small bicycle tire pump in the truck and it all works great.

Looks like good product—install went well. Instructions could have been better for my application (2500 hd). One hex nut missing in parts bag. Filed warranty claim with Air Lift and discussed potential revisions to install guide.

@Margaret Oh no, that's not good. The leak could be in the air lines, a connection point, or the bags themselves. Since this kit has a limited lifetime warranty, I would reach out to Air Lift regarding a warranty claim or replacement parts.

  • Best Procedure For Using Air Bag Kit In Conjunction With Weight Distribution Hitch
Hello Steve, thanks for reaching out. As far as adjusting your air bags while using a weight distribution (WD) hitch, the best procedure is to hook up the WD hitch, then adjust the air bags as needed. You should adjust the air bags until the distance from the top of the tire to the wheel well is equal on both the front and rear axles on your truck. The correct Air Lift kit for your 2009 Chevy 2500HD is part # AL57275. If you are looking for a WD hitch recommendation, just let me know...

  • Spacers for Air Bags on 2007 Chevy Silverado With 6" Lift
Hi Aaron; I'm assuming this is a 2500 or 3500 since you were looking at the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57275. In order to determine which spacer is right for your truck you need to measure the distance between the upper and lower mounting brackets. Subtract 6" from that number and you will find the correct spacer height. More than likely you need the 6" spacer # AL52460 but you may need the 4" spacer # AL52440 instead.

  • Best B&W Turnoverball/Companion Setup For 2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD
Hello Zach, thanks for reaching out. Sounds like you are on the right track here. The # BWGNRM1067 is correct for the 2009 GMC 2500, but that part number is the installation kit only, so more parts will be needed. What is your bed length? I ask because we recommend using the slider for anything shorter than the 8' bed. We actually sell these hitches as a complete kit that comes with the goosneck hitch, installation kit and 5th wheel hitch - everything you need. Take a look at the following: -...

  • Does 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500 Need Weight Distribution Hitch for 2024 Sun Lite 16BH
Hi Dave; with most of that in the bed of your truck you probably won't need a weight distribution hitch. If you find that the rear of your truck is sagging when you're hooked up or notice the headlights are pointing upward then it is recommended to keep you level. Since towing the trailer empty without one really isn't a concern I would see how it does when you pick up the trailer and then decide. If you do decide to get a weight distribution hitch the # RE34FR you were looking at would...
