These galvanized steel crossbars are built to handle real loads. Each bar can support up to 220 lbs, giving you plenty of capacity for kayaks, cargo boxes, or camping gear. The black polymer coating adds grip so your cargo stays steady in transit and helps protect the bars from corrosion over years of use.
This complete roof rack system includes 2 SquareBars, 4 Evo Fixpoint feet, and a custom fit kit designed for secure attachment to fixed mounting points. Once installed, the setup feels solid and stable—exactly what you want when you’re hauling gear at highway speeds or crossing rough terrain on a trip.
The classic square crossbar shape works with a wide range of accessories and carriers that clamp around the bars. From kayak cradles to cargo baskets and ski racks, it’s a versatile setup that lets you use the attachments you already trust without having to change your gear system.
When you’re parked at a trailhead or campsite, security matters. The rack is compatible with Thule One-Key System locks (sold separately) so you can deter theft and keep your setup safe when you step away. It’s an easy way to add peace of mind without complicating your routine.
The polymer coating not only grips your gear but also shields the steel from rust and wear. With its limited lifetime warranty, this system is built to keep performing season after season—no matter how many miles your adventures take you.

The crossbars are great. I’ve used it many times for my kayak using it with Thule kayak carrier. To eliminate the whistling sound I ed some insulation foam in each end of the bars. Now it’s totally quiet.

The square bars are known to whistle compared to the aerodynamic cross bars. I recommend the Thule AirScreen XT part # TH22WV to divert the wind up and over the cross bars to eliminate some of the wind noise.

After having the rack on my car for about a year I can say the bars are still pretty noisy even with my modification. I know theyre square bars and by definition square bars are noisy but I frankly think Thules design of the feet that attach the bars to the roof is not particularly aerodynamic either and so the feet are contributing significantly to the wind noise, too. I bought square bars because I have some older roof attachments that were designed for square bars and I wanted to reuse them instead of having to buy all new ones for a different bar shape. The old attachments fit just fine on these bars so Ill save the money and live with the wind noise.
