Better Bath RV Shower Pan Dimensional Diagram

This shower pan will replace your old, cracking pan to complete your shower setup so you can rinse off mud, sand, and sweat after a fun day of hiking and swimming. You can put a bar of soap, a shampoo bottle, a razor, and other toiletries on the flat outer ledge and be able to grab them quickly while you're showering. When rinsing off the soap, the textured floor will help prevent you from slipping and falling, and the 3-sided tile flange will help prevent water from being splashed behind the shower pan and causing water damage to the wall.

Easy Installation

This shower pan easily replaces or upgrades your existing RV shower pan or bathtub with a right-hand side drain hole setup. Mounting hardware is not included. After the floor or pedestal has been cleaned of debris, set the shower pan in place, making sure the pre-installed foam base is sitting securely and evenly. This foam base supports the shower pan so it won't crack over time, and it'll dampen the sound of water hitting the pan floor or when you accidentally drop a bar of soap or shampoo bottle. Once the shower pan has been installed, it is compatible with any standard 2" drain strainers.

Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Better Bath RV Shower Pan

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're going to take a look at this Better Bath parchment color RV shower pan with right hand drain. Now, if you are looking to replace or upgrade the shower pan in your RV or camper's bathroom, this might be just what you need. This pan is going to fit your right hand side drain hole setups. And if you notice here, we do have a three sided tile flange.

That's going to help prevent water from seeping in behind this pan and possibly damaging the wall of the bathroom in your RV or camper. Now, underneath at the bottom, we have a pre-installed half inch thick foam base. That's going to provide support for this shower pan and it's going to prevent the pan from cracking. But it's also going to dampen sound, such as when you might accidentally drop a bar of soap or a bottle of shampoo. That foam pad underneath is going to dampen that sound and cushion that sound.

So that's a nice feature of this pan. This also features a textured anti-slip floor. That's going to give you better traction while showering and that texture probably doesn't come over real well over the camera, especially with this parchment color. But it is indeed there and it's subtle, but yet I feel like it would give you the feeling of confidence when you're stepping on this, especially when this pan is wet. It's just enough of a texture to give you that grip and that traction that you're looking for.

And it's not rough. It doesn't feel sandy or gritty, so it's very comfortable to stand on. So that's another nice feature that this pan offers. This also has a flat outer ledge that's going to hold your soap, your shampoo, and other toiletries. So you can quickly grab them while showering.

And this is made in the USA of a durable, scratch resistant, ABS thermoplastic, polymer construction. Again, with this parchment finish, it's kind of like a a beige color, probably isn't coming over exactly as it looks in person over the camera. I would describe it as kind of a beige color. And this is lighter and more environmentally friendly than fiberglass. So for instance, it's very easy to manage here on the on the table. So even though it is light weight, it still feels very durable. Now this is going to be an easy Boulton insulation. However, I do want to point out that this does not include any hardware. So if you do not already have the compatible hardware to install this, that would be a separate purchase for you. This is IAPMO certified, CSA compliant, and ASME certified. And let me go ahead and give you some dimensions here, that I hope will prove helpful for you in determining if this is going to work for your situation. Starting with the exterior dimensions, looking at the exterior length, we are sitting right at 40 inches long. And then taking a look at the exterior width. We are sitting right at 24 inches wide. And then looking at the depth, this might be a little bit harder for you to see, but we are sitting right at, if not a little bit over, five inches. Probably pretty close to five and a quarter inches there on that depth. And then looking at the interior dimensions. Again with the interior length first. We are sitting right at about 36 inches long. And then looking at that width, you're sitting right at about 18 and a half inches wide. And then looking at the depth. Where this begins to flare out here, we're sitting pretty close to about two and a half inches deep on that interior depth. Now that drain hole diameter is two inches and the distance of the drain hole from the closest edge, we are sitting right at about four and a half inches. So again, this is in that parchment color, kind of like a beige color. And if everything about this shower pan matches the measurements and the specs that you're looking for, but you're not too crazy about this particular color, I do have good news for you. We do also offer this in white. Everything else is identical. The measurements, the specs, everything else is the same, except in the color, which is white. If you're interested in that white color, I do have our item number for that version on your screen. Just take that item number and put it in the search field of our website here at etrailer.com. And it will take you to the white version of this shower pan. Well, overall, if this matches the specs and the measurements that you are looking for, and the the color and the finish, as well, I think this will be a great shower pan for you to consider. Well, that's going to conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

Service and efficiency were great. I ordered online Sunday afternoon and opted to pay for 2-day delivery, rather than free standard shipping -- I received email Sunday evening stating my order was shipped, can't ask for faster service than that -- delivered Wednesday evening.

As for quality of product, the shower pan is extremely lightweight, almost too light it seems as I discovered a bent corner of the shower tray upon opening the box. Nothing which will be noticeable after it's installed, but I hope it isn't a testament to poor durability..... time will tell.

I plan to use this for my van conversion, but still doing the build, so no photos yet of finished product to offer.

Dimensions were exactly as listed, good quality, shipping was 2 days exceptional!

I received the shower pan. I like the quality of the product. The dimensions were a perfect fit. I have not installed it yet. The drain flap was missing.

I am replacing the bathtub in my camper with a shower because after an injury my wife is no longer able to lift her leg high enough to get into the bathtub. I ordered a shower pan that was the same size as the bathtub. After removing the tub I discovered the shower pan I ordered would not work since the wall narrows towards the floor.
I called etrailer and spoke with Rob who was very helpful. He cancelled my order and replaced it with an order for a shower pan of the appropriate size. The shower pan that arrived a few days later is sturdy and it fits perfectly.
I must make some alterations to the plumbing of the camper to install the shower pan as low as possible. When this project is complete I will send a picture. Thanks!

Had a tub in my RV that maybe a 3 years old might be able to fit in. The foot print at the bottom of the tub was next to nothing (just enough to turn around without falling. Decided to put a shower in instead. Much more room which us old folk need. Also the step-up into the tub was about 18". Had to put a handle on the wall to grab for balance getting into and out of the tub. The step up for the shower will be about 5 inches. Great difference. Haven't completed the project yet so no pics. The shower pan seems well made. They are all either a plastic or something on that order so nothing like an indoor fiberglass shower but light years ahead of the tub. Would recommend the switch if you are somewhat handy.

This shower pan replacement for the tub that was taken out was perfect. The only thing that had to be done was making the pedestal taller to accommodate the new pan.

The product was exactly what we needed for the space available, and appreciated the prompt response and flawless shipping. Will continue utilizing your company, also will refer your product line to family and friends. Thank you for your service.Only Wish that there was an installation process for this particular model did not know if a cement base was needed, and was unable to find a strainer drain, my fault, should have known that the average hardware store would not be carrying one for an RV model. I did order the proper one from E-Trailer. Thanks again.

I bought this when I was looking for a fiberglass base. My thought was that plastic wouldn’t be strong enough to support me. After looking and looking for something that would fit, I finally decided to get this one. The measurements on the description gave me a great idea of the space I had to work with. I also got a flex curtain rod and faucet that went together perfectly with previous plumbing. The shower basin needs a base to be built which is easier than it sounds...Cut out the shape of the basin and support it with 2x4. After a years usage I can definitely say I’m impressed!

Cut this nice mold 5” to fit next to fender wells on a 68 airsteam

Just installed this shower pan yesterday and it's working great for our bathroom. The size is just right and the access panel in the front is just what we needed to install it correctly.

by:

SAVE YOUR MONEY! IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK! The product description says "fiberglass" but it's really just a hunk of extruded plastic, so thin and flimsy that my daughter's $20 Walmart wading pool is of higher quality. Needless to say, it's going back to etrailer for a refund. Now I have to deal with the inconvenience of finding another product and going through the hassle (and expense) of shipping it back.

by:

We changed our RV tub into a shower using this shower pan. It is a very small bathroom and gave us a lot more room for my tall husband. Worked out great and is sturdy.

by:

I purchased the 24x46” right drain pan. I have installed it in a park unit which an rv with the wheels taken off. I tiled around 3 sides, properly sealed the joints and now it is looking and working well. Space was the limitation mostly with width, which is why I chose this pan
Only wish it was a little thicker material.

by:

The pan was an exact fit for me and that's what I was mainly concerned about. It is a bit on the thin side. One thing that I didn't expect and I'm still wondering about is the front doesn't come all the way down to the floor. It's 2" higher. So I'll have to get creative with that area.

We used this shower pan as a base for our dog wash station. Worked out great!

by:

Package arrived with nothing in the box to stop the pan from bouncing around and arrived scuffed and dirty. Had to use solvent to remove a sticky gum-like substance and will need to paint the plastic to cover the scuff.

by:

Worked perfect for conversion van shower install. Promaster 2500

I love this shower pan. The high sides make it a multi-use sink deep enough for a foot bath and for washing dishes or clothes. I needed the drain on the side to avoid the trailer beam below and etrailer was the only place where I found such a pan. It should be noted that you will not find a drain for the 2" opening at your local hardware store. You need to order one at an RV supply place and etrailer did not have one. I got one for a sink with a stopper that gave me more versatility in using it. I'm very happy with how it worked out in my tiny house.

Good service and the right part the first time.

by:

Shower pan was of good quality and fit. Although it was supposed to be a direct fit replacement the drain hole did not line up where the old one was so I had to do some adjustment to the plumbing underneath.

by:

It's a great product and it gave me lower step-in and wider shower base.
