The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Fast shipping and easy install. Works great...much easier to have one knob versus two!
I bought the faucet as a replacement for the one in my trailer which was relatively new and did not have any hot water flow. The new one works so so and I thought the quality was lacking a bit. Time will tell. E trailer was excellent in customer service and shipping.
Product looks awesome. Only thing is on the front of the handle the letter C is warn almost off. not a big thing though
after one year of use, the shower is working just like new. we love the single lever temperature control.

Exact replacement. Works as designed. An extremely cold winter (-45) caused original to start leaking.
Good looking unit. Empire always provides quality products. Excellent etrailer service as always.
Feels well made considering the plastic components. Would have preferred the outlet was out of the bottom like the unit it replaced as shower hose hangs better that way. Was able to mount the new unit with the outlet out the bottom by swapping the water lines behind the wall.
Just installed and looks great and I think it will work as well.
Nice product. I mounted with output going down. I was able to rotate the handle 180 degrees by removing the white cap which allowed access to a screw to remove the handle.
Great shower valve, just what I was wanting. Great, easy service, easy on- line look-up. I am very pleased
