Specs:
The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Empire Faucets RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, uses the single teacup handle, and has a nice matte black finish to it. I'm gonna zoom in to show you a closeup of it. This is a wall mount RV shower valve that'll let you upgrade the bathroom shower valve in your RV or your camper. You can see this one has a top-mount vacuum breaker that allows you to attach a handheld shower set to your faucet. That shower set, we do sell separately on our website.
The valve, or the vacuum breaker, right up here will prevent the backflow contamination of your clean water supply. You can see it is a nice single-handle design with the teacup style handle, does use a washerless ball valve design, which provides a nice smooth turning action. And it prevents any unwanted dripping. It is a 3/4-turn single mixing valve, which provides easy temperature control. And you can see on the front here, they have it marked, with it down like this, it's off, and then as you go up, it's from cold all the way up to hot.
Does use a diamond ceramic disc cartridge, which is maintenance free. That disc cartridge creates a nice watertight seal when the faucet is turned off. It is a non-metallic ABS plastic construction, and as you can see the color is a matte black finish. We mentioned it is a wall-mount, two-hole installation. The inlet shanks on here have the standard male NPSM connections, does come with the black deck plate and the mounting nuts.
And basically when you go to install them, you just take your deck plate, put it on there, take your mounting nuts to each inlet, and slide it down to hold it into place. Now it does require tile and tub caulk to install this, it is not included, you would have to supply that. Few specs on this. We're gonna give you the overall width from this end to this end. So if we put a ruler on it, right at 6 1/4 inches, the height from the bottom to the top of the vacuum breaker it's right at 3 1/2 inches tall.
And the depth we're gonna measure is from the front of the handle to the wall, so when this is installed, right to where it would be on the wall. So you could see that's gonna be right at about 4 5/8 inches deep. Now the distance between the inlets is the standard four inch center-to-center measurement. And the inlet shank diameter on these is half an inch. But again, just to show you, all the way down like that would be in the off position. And as you rotate it, it would go from cold up to hot. But that should do it for the review on the Empire Faucets RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, it's a single teacup handle and a nice matte black finish..
Nice item..Good price.
