This electric step automatically extends when the door opens and retracts when it closes, so there’s no need to remember to stow it before driving. The included motor, control unit, and switch kit handle everything for you. A built-in ignition override retracts the step when the engine starts, keeping it safe during travel.
An amber incandescent light (C193 bulb) turns on when the step extends, making it easy to see where you’re stepping after dark. The 24" wide x 11-1/8" deep tread has a non-slip surface and reflective strips that improve visibility and traction in low light or wet weather.
The heavy-duty steel frame is powder coated to resist the elements, while solid steel drive rods and stainless steel bushings add long-term durability. Air-pressed rivets at each pivot point keep the assembly tight and smooth through daily use. The step supports up to 300 lbs without flexing.
With a 4-3/8" drop and extended height of 5-7/8", this single 35 Series step gives a comfortable first step without hanging too low. If it hits an obstacle while opening, the motor automatically stops and retracts to prevent damage. When parked, you can use the switch kit to keep the step extended even if the door closes.
Everything needed for power operation is included. The prewired control box uses a 4-way plug that connects to an existing harness, and a 4-way pigtail is provided if a hardwire connection is needed. The control unit operates on 12V with a 10A draw and uses 12 AWG and 16 AWG leads, keeping the system reliable and weatherproof.
