Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Camco Low-Pressure LP Gas Regulator w/ 6' Long Hose

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Camco low pressure, LP gas regulator with the six foot long hose. Now this six foot long hose will let you connect your Olympian wave gas heater or any large gas barbecue grill to the type one propane cylinder. This does install very quickly and easily. It does include a low pressure regulator and it is rated for 70,000 BTU an hour maximum outlet flow. It does also maintain a constant 11 inch water column outlet pressure. And it is equipped with an excess flow protection for safety.

The inlet right here is a type one acme connector with the coupling nut to attach to the propane cylinder and the outlet here has a 3/8 inch female clear swivel nut connector. But that should do it for the review on the Camco low pressure, LP gas regulator with the six foot long hose.

  • Regulator Use for a Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater for Mid-Sized RVs
Hey Elizabeth. Not sure how your RV is setup but you can only run one regulator per line/appliance. The Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater for Mid-Sized RVs item # CAM57341 does not have one but if you put two regulators on the same propane setup you barely get any propane going through. What kind of RV do you have and does it have a built in propane system?

  • Correct Hose for the Camco Olympian Wave 8 Catalytic Safety Heater
Yes, we do! The Camco Olympian Wave 8 Catalytic Safety Heater item # CAM57351 has a 3/8" SAE flare fitting. The shortest hose we have that connects to a propane tank is the 6' long Low-Pressure LP Gas Regulator item # CAM57703. We also have the 12" item # CAM57721.

  • Camco Olympian Wave 3 Heater Compatibility with Disposable 1 lb Propane Cylinder
The Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs # CAM57331 can be used with 1 lb disposable tanks when you use the Camco Low-Pressure LP Gas Regulator w/ 6' Long Hose # CAM57703 and adapter # 204132-MBS or # CAM59213. You may also be interested in using the Camco Leg Stands for Olympian Wave Heaters - Qty 2 # CAM57701 to allow the heater to be freestanding.

  • Hose Needed For The Olympian Wave 3 Heater To Run Off A 1lb Propane Tank
The Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs # CAM57331 can be connected to a 1lb propane tank using a hose like part # CAM57703 and an adapter like part # 37207-30205. This heater can draw 1,600 to 3,000 btu's depending on how high you have it set. 1lb of propane is equal to approximately 23,000 btu's so you'd have roughly 8 hours of heat from a 1lb propane tank.

  • What is Low Pressure for Regulator for Camco Olympian Wave 6 Heater
For the Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater # CAM57341, a low-pressure regulator is designated as 11" w.c. (water column), as you can see in the accompanying cut outs I added. You can go from a hose to the furnace with the Camco Low-Pressure LP Gas Regulator with 6' Long Hose # CAM57703, which has the Type 1 male fitting to connect to the heater and a 3/8 Inch - Female Flare fitting on the other end of the hose, though I'm not sure which connection your pipe has so if you need...

  • Thermostatically Controlled RV Heater
The Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs part # CAM57331 does not come with a thermostat. I am not really sure how that would work on a propane heater as such but we do have an electric heater with a built-in thermostat, the Arcon Compact Ceramic Heater with Tip-Over Safety Switch part # AR64409. However, this would not produce nearly as much heat as the Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs. Please note the Camco Olympian Wave 3 Catalytic Safety...

What you need is the Camco Propane Adapter # CAM59213. This allows you to adapter a hose like part # CAM57703 that you'd use for the Wave 6 # CAM57341 to connect to a 1-lb (throwaway) bottle of propane. Attached is a quick demonstration video that you can check out.

  • How to Connect Champion Dual Fuel Generator to Airstream LPG Port
It sounds like you are trying to connect your Champion generator to the quick disconnect propone outlet on your Airstream that is commonly used to connect propane accessories such as a grill or griddle, is this correct? If so, you will want to use part # 100304-120-MBS. If you are wanting to connect directly to your propane tank, the best way to do that would be to simply unhook one of your propane lines at the tank and use part # CAM57703 to go from the tank to the generator.

  • What is Needed to Use Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater
I do not know the propane line you have to know if you can use it, but I can tell you the correct hose for the Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater for Small RVs # CAM57341. What you will need to use is the Camco Low-Pressure LP Gas Regulator # CAM57703, which will connect from the fitting on the heater directly to a propane tank with a Type 1 male connector. It can't be double regulated so it will need to go directly to the tank.

  • Does Camco Wave 6 RV Heater Require Regulated Propane
The Camco Olympian Wave 6 Catalytic Safety Heater for Mid-Sized RVs # CAM57341 is not designed to run off of unregulated propane. It needs LP gas which is regulated to 11 inches of water column. So you would need a regulator like the part # CAM57703 that you also referenced.

  • Does the Furrion Triple Burner Cooktop Have a Regulator On It
Yes. The Furrion RV Cooktop - Propane - Triple Burner - Stainless Steel # FGH4ZSASS comes with a built in LP regulator. As for connecting to the propane source, this cooktop does come with a hose designed to connect to an RV propane kitchen pipe. If you are going to connect it directly to a propane tank then you'll also need another regulator on that hose according to new regulations from the RVIA. If you've got a propane tank with a Type 1 fitting you could use any of these hoses to connect...

  • Can I Run A Blackstone Grill On The Propane From A Jayco Travel Trailer?
Hello James, thanks for reaching out. There is no way to connect a grill to the propane manifold on your RV. The propane coming from the manifold is already regulated, and accessories like a Blackstone grill require unregulated propane. One option is to install a Tee like part # 103537-MBS so you can connect your grill to your 20 lb tank without cutting off the gas supply to the rest of the RV. If it were me, I would simply carry an extra propane tank to use with the Blackstone. A refillable...

If your propane fire pit/table top heater already has a regulator you won't want to have a second regulator on the line. The easiest would be to use a hose like the # CAM57629 or # CAM57703 that come with regulators on them and attaching them to a propane bottle. • Which is Better for Adding Propane to Horse Trailer a Single or Dual Stage Regulator
Hey Steve, for trailer applications a dual stage regulator will work best. The big difference is a single stage regulator is best in situations where the inlet pressure does not vary by much. • Can You Use An Adjustable Regulator with a Low Pressure Propane Heater?
You cannot use an adjustable regulator with the Camco Olympian Wave 3 # CAM57331 since this heater operates on a low pressure gas system and running high pressure gas through it would cause it to function improperly and potentially create a dangerous situation. Instead, you would want to use a hose and regulator like the # CAM57703 which has a 6ft long hose on a low pressure regulator to connect from your gas source. It should be noted that the Olympian Wave 3 has an adjustable heat output,...
