Install this adapter in that system to create a permanent outlet for compatible outdoor equipment. You can connect when you need propane and disconnect when you're finished instead of keeping another cylinder filled and stored.
Without a shutoff at the outlet, removing your outdoor equipment can require shutting down the larger propane system first. The internal quick-closing valve closes the outlet when the equipment is removed, letting the rest of the propane system remain in service. MEC recommends installing a separate shutoff valve upstream of this adapter for future servicing.
