Curt RV Bumper Hitch - 2" - C19101

Average Customer Rating:  4.7 out of 5 stars   (58 Customer Reviews)

by:

The hitch was shipped and USPS lost the hitch in Memphis. After 28 days from the first item was shipped, I finally received my hitch after multiple calls to etrailer and USPS. The hitch is great, the shipping through USPS is not.

by:

Fit like a glove with no vibration. Couldn't be happier.

by:

Perfect fit. Very solid.

by:

Looks great, easy installation

by:

I hate to admit that the hitch has not moved one inch from where it was installed. Of course that may be entirely because the trailer it's mounted on has not either... I have no doubt it will perform perfectly when called upon to tow the the small aluminum row boat that will be attached to it. Thanks for the follow up and we'll be sure to keep you all informed of future adventures. RTC, Micheal/China Syndrome survivor.

by:

Well made, excellent product.

by:

Bought it for a heavier hitch for my 2000 Polaris Ranger 6x6 and it worked excellent. Just one minor adjustment and it fit like a glove. etrailer is the way to go, will be buying more from them for my new to me 2009 Ford E350 ambulance that I will be using as a tow vehicle for my travel trailer.

by:

We had an interesting choice to make with our RV. We could either take the cargo carrier or the bikes. We wanted both, of course, and this hitch gave us that option.
We always check with etrailer.com first for any parts they might have to meet our travel needs.

by:

A quality bit of kit. My only problem is the burly box steel bumper on my 1990 LJ78 Land Cruiser is 2" X 4 1/8", apparently, not 2" X 4". So the nice bolts and nuts included in the package don't quite go through the holes at the top. I had to substitute thinner eye bolts. I'm pulling a very light canoe trailer with this, so I'm not worried about the loss in strength. If you have a real cross frame member for a bumper, as I do this is an inexpensive light towing solution. I would have rated it excellent if the bolt holes were somehow adjustable up and down.

by:

etrailer makes ordering parts very easy - always impressed with customer service I get.

The bumper hitch is sturdy, and fit my 2" x 4" trailer bumper perfectly. it is a well built product and is very stable on the bumper.

by:

Very nice specialty receiver for 2" Reese Hitch. Fits on 4" x 2" bumper stock - dimensions are spot on. Finish on surface and edges is smooth...nothing to catch or "bite" during installation!

Thank you

by:

Works great, tow my utility trailer with polaris razor behind my travel trailer

by:

Just received this product, so haven't really used it yet. But wow, it is really built well. I looked at numerous similar products, and am really happy with my choice. Should give us years of great service. May be overkill for a bike rack on the back of our Takena Trailer, but will most assuredly give us peace of mind on our long road trips.

by:

Wrong product - and no help from etrailer.com in rectifying the situation! I don't think anyone could use this product, and it's not clear enough in the information that it's for a tiny bumper - not a regular RV bumper.

by:

Very good quality but I had to send back as I ordered the wrong bumper size. They were very helpful with making the return easy. I was sent a shipping label.by text and sent it back. Just waiting for my refund. All items I have bought have been of good quality and not high priced. Very Happy.

by:

Very sturdy. We use it to hold a bike rack on our trailer.

by:

Used for a rear hitch on my 5th wheel to tow the jet ski trailer. Very sturdy.

by:

5 Star Service every time. I put my order in yesterday before noon and it was on my doorstep today before noon. I will recommend etrailer to everyone!!! Thanks Again!!!!

by:

The hitch came on time. Etrailer stayed in touch with me. I am sure it will work great for pulling my flat bottom boat. Have to wait for winter to get over with.

by:

Well made, easy installation, fast delivery.
Simple
instructions to follow no drilling required.

Great folks to do business with, can not go wrong using this company.

by:

The bumper hitch was what I was exactly looking for. Easy mount to the bumper.

by:

Easy to install and well built. Bigger than I needed to mount our current bike rack to our Camp Lite 11FK, but works great and it was simple.

by:

Arrived in a timely fashion. Even sturdier than I had expected. Fits my trailer bumper well. I am very satisfied with this product.

by:

video information was a big help, it eliminated guesswork on my application. fit & finish were excellent & my parts arrived on time.
I will buy from etrailer again.

by:

Mounted to my trailer bumper so easily that even I couldn't mess it up. This is rare!

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for Dutchman Fourwinds with Jack Behind Bumper
The best and easiest option to install a trailer hitch on the back of a trailer is with the Curt RV Bumper Hitch part # C19101 which bolts onto a standard 4" x 4" rear bumper. The Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames part # UF35-946403 or one like it would not work in your particular application as it would need to be moved much further up therefore removing the jack you pointed out. We have both frame-mount and bumper-mount hitches for your 2017 Heartland Cyclone 5th Wheel Toy Hauler and I have attached a link to our available inventory. Generally, Frame-mount hitches like the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver, Item # C13701, offer higher capacity than the bumper-mount variety like the Curt RV Bumper Hitch, # C19101. The Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver has a Class III rating and can be bolted or welded on. It works with frames with a minimum width...

  • Does RV Trailer Hitch for 4" x 2" Bumper Allow Towing
You can use the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # C19101 to tow your trailer and Polaris Razor, but you do need to ensure you are within a number of capacities. The hitch itself has a 3,500 lb towing capacity and 350 lb tongue weight capacity so your trailer needs to fall within those numbers. Additionally, you need to contact the manufacturer of your toy hauler to ensure the bumper can handle towing as it may not be designed for that much stress. This could lead to a very dangerous situation for...

  • Availability of Hitch/Bike Rack to Fit 5-1/2 Tall RV Bumper
The closest thing we have to that is the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # C19101 but that fits a 4x2 bumper so it doesn't match your specs. With this being the case though we still might have a solution for you. If your RV is a trailer with an A-Frame tongue jack then the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack # LC429756 is a great choice and it fits with just about any A-Frame jack out there! This puts your bikes in a unique place and helps to keep the length at the back of your trailer to a minimum. I've attached...

  • Can the Curt Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch # C19101 be used Upside Down
You can certainly use the Curt Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch, # C19101, upside down. I spoke with my contact at Curt to see if there were any restrictions or further limitations by using this hitch upside down and he told me that you will have no problem using it that way. The capacities of the hitch will stay the same and you can gain more ground clearance for your cargo carrier (which can be a big deal at the back of RVs and trailers).

Each of these trailer hitches have a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs. • RV-Rated 3-Bike Rack & Hitch for 2016 Coachman Clipper Pop Up Camper Trailer
Curt RV hitches # C19101 and # E-100 will not work on a C-channel bumper so you may want to consider a frame-mounted RV hitch like # 13703 or one of the others shown on the linked page. These have a 2-inch receiver opening for your bike rack or other RV-rated accessory and the various model fits varying frame widths; some are bolt-on while others are weld-on products. Since you mentioned you have a 4 inch metal bumper the correct hitch is likely the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch # E-100 which is a fit for a 4" x 4" square bumper; the Curt RV Bumper Hitch # C19101 is the other bumper mounted hitch for RVs and is for use with 2" x 4" RV bumpers so you will want to use the one that...

I may have a solution for you, however we do not have a bumper mount hitch receiver available that is designed to fit the 4-1/4 x 1-3/4 inch bumper on your camper. It's also very possible that the bumper on your Fleetwood Cheyenne Pop-Up Camper is not rated for use with a hitch (you can check with Fleetwood to be sure), so your best option may actually be to still use your bike rack on your SUV. However, a bumper with a thicker wall does provide you with more strength against jarring and motion. As far as the...
