Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products City Water Flange. Now this is going to replace a worn out or broken or damaged water flange on your RV. We'll just have our cap to keep everything out of our opening there. This is just a inlet for water to go in.
You can see the little arrows on or the arrow on the side there, letting you know that water is supposed to just go in. This isn't a drain valve. It does have a check so we don't have any water coming back out. And it is a lead free brass valve, so it's going to be a nice and durable. And then it also is in an aluminum housing so we shouldn't have to worry about any rust or corrosion.
The inlet also has a threaded or a free spooling or free turning handle there to let us get attached to our water connection without any issues so we can turn that to thread everything on in place.And it does have that strainer already in there so we don't have to worry about anything getting in to the inlet. As far as sizing, our female pipe thread there, the FTP size is going to be 1/2 inch. Our cutout depth is about 1 5/8 inches. The diameter is about 1 1/4. Our mounting holes are about two inches apart, center to center, going in that triangular fashion, since we do have three of those.
And then our outer diameter here of the whole thing, it's about three inches in diameter there. Or excuse me, it's about 2 7/8. Just installed it yesterday and it was quick and easy. Put the plumbers tape on, used a wrench and vice grips to tighten. Put caulking inside back of metal flange and screwed it back on to wall. Before screwing back to wall I did hook it up to hose and tested it. No leaks. Very happy with how it's made. Exactly like my old one but metal flange instead of plastic. Thank you.

Over the years our City Water Inlet on our 21ft Tow Lite camper had gotten worn out. This replacement had the plastic flange size needed for the recessed mounting required and good quality features my original unit did not have including a large swivel knob to help with hose attachment. Installation was straight forward and took about 30 minutes. Looks good and really improved this aspect of our camping hook up needs.
