Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Valterra RV city water inlet. It's a 2 3/4 inch metal flange plastic valve. Now, RV city water inlet here will replace a leaking or just a damaged check valve on your trailer or motor home. It has a half inch MPT or male pipe thread check valve that feeds into your fresh water lines.
It's gonna prevent pressurized water from back flowing out of the inlet. The cap simply inserts to keep it clean when not in use, and when you do use it, it's got a screen protector in here as well to keep debris and stuff out. You get a nice metallic chrome silver colored, metallic dye cast rather. It's not chrome, it's just chrome color. And it's an easy installation with the included pipe thread tape and the butyl tape here.
So this butyl tape or putty, as they call it, goes around the backside. And when you put your screws through here to install it, that's gonna be your watertight gasket, if you will, to keep everything clean and free. They give you two sets of screws, two Phillips heads, and two that are kind of hex heads, if you will, for installation. Well, folks that's gonna wrap it up. This is a 2 3/4 inch diameter flange mount that will mount flush against the exterior wall.
