Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products city water flange. This is going to be a replacement for our city water flange, our attachment to our potable water to get that into our RV. So we're going to have a brass valve on the back. This does have a check valve, so that's going to replace that, as well as the outer housing there.
This is going to be a lead free brass, so it's fine to work with our water line.Comes with a little strainer already installed in there, and a cover to go over the top of that to make sure that nothing gets in there and causes any issues. The attachment here does free spin so we can make that easy to thread on our hose attachment. It is UV and impact resistant as well. As far as the size, it's going to have a valve length, or a valve depth of about 1-11/16 or just under 1-3/4 inches.The cutout diameter is going to be about an 1-1/2, which actually I think it would be a little bit smaller than that, maybe about an 1-1/4 this will work with. And then the outer diameter is going to be about three inches.
Does come in this polar white color. And it does not come with the hardware to get this attached, so you will need to pick that up on your own. The diameter for those mounting holes is about 1/8 of an inch.That's pretty much going to do it for our look at the JR Products city water flange. It does have a 1/2 inch MTP, so it's going to be the male threading there to fit into an existing part on your RV. The water inlet went in flawlessly and worked amazingly once I got it on there. It worked so well that the rest of my pipes in my trailer busted, but the water inlet is still going strong.
It appears to be the perfect item to supply the water to our cargo conversion project.
Installed correctly, but 372160-85-A-26A RV City Water Inlet w/ Brass Check Valve makes
a noise & reduces the water pressure. Noise abruptly ends when water is turned off at
faucet. Water pressure should be 50psi, but it is now lower.
It was not the exact replacement but modified to work.
