Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the city water flange. This is going to replace a city water check valve. Whether yours has become worn out or damaged, this is going to replace that for your RV so you can get that water following back into your system. It does have a lead-free brass valve that is going to be surrounded by our durable metal surface mount. You can see we've got pre-drilled holes in our surface mount.
This is a nice metal construction with a white finish to it, so it's going to blend in well with the exterior of your RV, and it's going to be very easy to get that mounted in place. Our valve has a 1/2-inch FPT, which is a female pipe thread threading on it, so it should match up with your current system as long as you have a male end, a 1/2-inch NPT fitting on your pipe. This will match up very well with that, be easy to get installed. This does have the included rubber dust cap to make sure that no dirt or debris gets in our system when we're not hooked up. We also have this filter in here that is going to make sure that no large sediment or anything is getting into our system from our public water line.Do want to give you a few measurements to make sure that this is going to work for you. The first measurement I'm going to give you is our outside diameter. It's from our edge here over.
It's going to be just shy of 3 inches or about 2 7/8 of an inch. Our cutout or the size of the hole that we're going to need for this, it's right about. call it about an inch and a half. That is what the instructions say as well, so you will need about an inch and a half opening to get this installed. Our valve depth is looking at right about just over 1 1/2 inches, call it a inch and 5/8 for our valve depth. That's going to complete our look at the city water flange.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

Lead-free brass valve with 2-7/8" diameter metal flange replaces the leaky check valve on your RV. Removable screen filter helps keep debris out of your water system. Fits a 1-1/2" diameter cutout. The unit works great, no problems. Great service from Etrailor.
The valve came quickly and was easy to install. This summer it started leaking. I tried every washer I could find so that is not the problem. I think the parts were not joined properly. I should receive a replacement.
