Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a quick look at Valterra's RV City Water Inlet. Now this replacement check valve is going to solve your problem with a broken, leaky city water inlet on your trailer or motor home. And the half inch FPT brass check valve feeds into your fresh water lines, preventing pressurized water from back flowing out of the inlet. It allows for a half inch MPT connection with the included adapter that you see here.
And the included cap inserts into the inlet to keep it clean when not in use. This 2 3/4 inch flange is a black powder coated metal construction that's going to mount flush against the exterior wall. And this is going to be a real easy installation with the included thread tape that we have right here, and then the putty, and then the hardware to mount the flange. Nice, durable, and easy to install. I used larger screws than the supplied ones, so I could utilize the existing holes in the trailer exterior wall. Recently learned to leave an elbow or leader hose attached to reduce wear on this fitting. I believe the check valve seized on my old inlet, causing it to leak both inside and outside the trailer, but it was simpler to change the 15-year-old inlet than to troubleshoot the check valve.

The quality is not as good as the OEM flange. But I'm not complaining. Ive installed it and it is suitable. It's not leaking...so Im satisfied with it. It certainly wasn't expensive.
Items arrived in just a few days, much faster than I expected. All items were as advertised.
Bought this one as an extra. Glad it came with tape, male threaded plugs and putty, as I used it to put the white one on. Will save this one in case I need another one when out and about. Great and fast service and delivery. All good.

Seems to be very well made. Metal and brass. Kit comes with Eterna bond tape, Teflon tape, male adapter and screws. Awesome.
Excellent product, the original water fill point was seizing, and hard the turn. This baby solved that problem!

I checked with the manufacturer and it definitely should not be leaking. I will be in contact with you about a replacement.
