Measurements of Mounting Points for MaxxAir Standard

Notes:

  • Some vents may not open fully when used with this vent cover. If opened 50% or more, the vent will still achieve maximum airflow.
  • This vent cover should not be used with high-powered ventilator fans like MaxxFan, MaxxFan Plus, ShurFlo Fan, or Fantastic Fan.

MaxxAir Standard Installed Over Open MaxxFan

The MaxxAir standard vent cover installs over your roof vent so that the vent can be opened and the fan can be operated in any weather. This prevents heat from building up inside your RV or trailer and allows smoke and stale air to escape, while also keeping rainwater and debris out. Zero-Leak brackets are included for installation.

Zero-Leak Mounting Kit

The Zero-Leak installation kit included with this vent cover prevents leaks by eliminating the need to drill into the roof of your RV or trailer.

Installed ZeroLeak Kit

Instead of mounting to your roof, this vent cover mounts to the frame of your roof vent. Simply drill 4 holes into the vertical frame of your roof vent so that you can install the Zero-Leak mounting brackets. These holes will be hidden underneath the vent cover once it is installed, where they will be protected from the elements.

If you are installing this vent cover over a Ventline E-Z Lift Ventadome roof vent, then drilling is not required. The E-Z Lift vent has mounting tabs with pre-drilled holes for installing the included hardware.

The kit comes with rustproof aluminum brackets and stainless steel screws, bolts, nuts, and washers.

Durable Construction

Durable Construction of MaxxAir Standard

This vent cover is constructed of durable, high-density polyethylene. Special additives help ensure that the material can resist the negative effects of UV rays. And the cover is translucent so that some natural light can shine through.

Before I installed both vent covers I took picks and then the installed both took about an hour and a half. Everything worked out great as a matter of fact I can open both vent tops all the way. Here are some picks. All installation instructions were dead on Video was the best. Thanks ,job well done on both ends.

Arrived sooner than expected. Installing them on my new 2022 East to West Altra. Stock covers are very thin and if you camp in the woods, any small falling branch can poke a hole in them and the next thing you know you have water in your new camper. These are very sturdy and installation is very easy. Mounts to the existing bracket so you are not putting screw holes in the roof of your camper. Black one for the vent in the bedroom in case you might want to actually sleep in a little bit on a Sunday and the other ones white so you can have light in the kitchen and bathroom. If you get distracted by the kids wanting to go for a walk through the campground and you forget to close the vent and you remember it when your over on the playground on the other side of the campground and it starts to rain, no worries, enjoy the rain with the kids and make it back to the dry camper when they start to to get cold and need to warm up. Quality product

We needed some MaxxAirs for a new 5th wheel that we purchased. We knew from having them on a previous camper that they are good products.
eTrailer has been a trustworthy place to order and get knowledgeable information from in the past. I had found a really good deal on the MaxxAirs at a different site, and contacted eTrailer. They stuck to their 110% price match policy and beat the other price.
Quick shipping and good service on top of the best price. Can't beat it!

It has continued to work well. Glad we we bought them...

by:

This vent cover arrived in perfect shape and was very straightforward to install. Product seems very well made and will allow us to have the vent open while traveling without the worry of leaves or rain coming into our motorhome.

by:

This was a breeze to install. I did bring my tool bag with everything i needed, but only had to go down once to slightly close the lid as it was to open. I was in the midst of washing clothes so had my timer on already so I was able to note how long it took. it didn't even take more then 15minutes to install maybe faster on my next one as i was moving slow. Thank you E-trailer for the how-to videos. I'm sure my father was smiling down from heaven seeing his little girl taking care of the RV on her own. <3
So satisfied with the product I am ordering a few more for my other vents

by:

The max air vent covers are the best. Easy installation and are screened which not only helps keep the bugs out but also helps stop the rain. Should keep the camping hauler a little cooler and drier. The tarp is just to keep the sun off.

by:

I am pretty happy with these! Ordered two, installed just fine on the enclosed trailer.
NOTE!!! The "screen" that came with them is not the one pictured, its a course plastic screen, holes are like 3/16" square, not expected, but I am ok with it.

by:

Haven’t had a chance to install but arrived missing carriage bolts on one unit. One neatly packaged and attached the other scattered throughout the box. No damage to the box from shipping. It appears to have been packed at the warehouse that way.

We recently sent you a new hardware and were wondering if you had any feedback about the the vent cover for other shoppers?

by:

E-Trailer comes through again. I bought with confidence here after making a few previous and flawless purchases. This time the box was short one vent cover, a quick email with pictures of box and a phone call and my missing cover was on its way. Thanks for the quick painless resolution.

As for the covers, plastic as most things these days but installed with confidence knowing they would do their job. Install was easy and straight forward even with my Lance 1575 "no walk on roof". Sat on edge and was able to do what needed to get done-center cover over vent, mark holes, drill holes, put brackets in place and bolt down. Easy as it gets and now fresh air in the rain is a crank turn or two away.

The wife and I made a weekend of this and sealed roof while up there. Camping season, we are ready. Thanks E-trailer and MaxAir!!

Good product and prompt shipping.

by:

The instruction page told me what the web page didn't - this is not the cover for a Fantastic Fan like I have in my 2002 Casita. :(

But I had already received it and I'm in a rural area so sending it back isn't easy.

So I took the Fantastic Fan's vent cover off since it wouldn't open up all of the way and took the control panel off to put the mounting bracket screws through.

It appears that it will work now, but I'll have to rig up an indoor cover for cold weather. The FF cover let out lots of heat anyway so I'll make some kind of insulated cover.

by:

Great quality for a good price, haven’t installed them yet but I’m sure I will be happy

by:

Fast shipping A+

by:

I have used these before, and the pair I installed a year ago has held up very well in the weather. I used less expensive brands, and they deteriorated to the point of extreme fragility within a couple of years. I have two standard cheap fans, not Fantastic Fans. The fan shrouds don’t open quite completely under the covers, but the slightly reduced ventilation area is minimal. This limitation is far outweighed by the ability to open the fan shrouds when it’s raining.

I recommend these to everyone wanting a vent cover, and that should be everyone who owns an RV. I do not understand why manufacturers do not make vent covers original equipment.

by:

It was delivered perfectly and I am ready to install them. Thank you for checking with me

by:

The Vent cover arrived promptly, and was packaged very well. We have not yet installed it but intend to do so soon.

by:

etrailer has always been great. Product is packaged and mailed in safe, sturdy boxes, always on time, everytime just like they promised. I really like using etrailer more than other suppliers

by:

by:

by:

The roof vent cover for our Fantastic Fan has been an excellent buy. Etrailer was very easy to work with and very accommodating. It w quite easy to install, looks nice and it protects the vent from wind and rain when open. Highly recommend it!

by:

The upgrades to my enclosed trailer looks good. I ordered several different parts from etrailer.com and shipping was fast and I will most definitely recommend them to anyone who is interested in parts.

These covers are a savior for RV's - they help keep rain out while allowing air to flow through an open vent.
They are made of great quality and come with needed hardware for simple installation

  • Replacement Ventline Vent Cover for 2018 Coleman Travel Trailer
The more common manual opening vents for campers from this timeframe are the Ventline. But unfortunately not all vents or vent covers are the same. They are almost identical in size but the hinges and lift locations can vary. The best way to identify the correct lid/vent cover for your 2018 Dutchmen Coleman Lantern LT Travel Trailer is to look at the hinge point of the base when the cover is removed/open. I've attached a photo of the different hinge styles to assist and linked the page...

  • Replacement Vent Cover for a 2001 Four Winds Majestic Flyer Motorhome
If you are talking about a roof vent cover to help keep the rain out then I recommend going with the MaxxAir Standard RV and Trailer Roof Vent Cover # MA00-933066 because it is a universal application and mounts to the frame of your trailer roof vent. For a replacement lid you will simply need to note what kind of hinge your roof vent uses. For a continuous hinge I recommend the Ventline # BV0554-01, for a 3-point hinge I recommend the Ventmate #CAM40153, and for a 4-point hinge I recommend...

  • Installing Vent in 6x12 Enclosed Cargo Trailer To Keep Interior Cool When in Storage
The # UF53-945001 solar-powered plumbing vent probably won't do what you're looking to achieve. The vent is very low powered, and is designed to provide a small amount of ventilation to draw odors from the stack on a black water tank on an RV. It wouldn't have enough draw to do much to lower the temperature in your trailer. I'd recommend installing a vent cover like # MA00-933066 which is compatible with standard 14 x 14 roof vents. With this in place, you could leave existing roof vent...
