Manufacturer Review of the MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus

Hi, I'm Mark Polk with RV Education 101. Today, we're going to install the most popular product ever designed to help with RV ventilation, the MaxxAir standard vent cover. The MaxxAir Vent Cover lets fresh air in your RV anytime, rain or shine, helping to prevent heat buildup and promote cross ventilation in your RV. It is designed to mount over all existing 14 x 14 inch roof bins and with the redesigned zero leak hardware kit it works on the new E-Z Lift Vent from Ventline too. Enough talking, let me show you how easy the MaxxAir Vent Cover is to easy stall. The E-Z Lift Vent by Ventline makes it easy to install MaxxAir Vent Cover. It has pre-drilled mounting locations for the redesigned zero leak brackets.

The first step is to place a carriage bolt, provided, upward thought the square slot in the one of the redesigned zero leak mounting brackets. Fasten the bracket to a pre-drilled location on the E-Z Lift Vent. Secure using a small screw, washer, lock washer, and hex nut provided. The hex nut should be placed on the inside of the mounting location. When all of the brackets are installed place the MaxxAir Vent Cover on the four upward pointing carriage bolts with the louver area facing the rear of the RV. Secure it using the star washers and hex nuts provided.

It may be necessary to push the head of the carriage bolt up into the bracket slot to prevent it from turning while you tighten the nuts. A slight air gap between the MaxxAir base and the roof of the RV is normal and helps condensation to escape. Do not apply caulking to this area. That's all there is to installing your standard MaxxAir Vent Cover. This super tough one piece design has withstood the test of time and is the only vent cover tough enough to come with a six year limited warranty.

How is it mounted on other roof vents?

As long as the vent is a standard 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" the installation will be the same.
