A vent cover encloses your RV's roof vent, to protect it from the elements. The cover blocks rain and snow from getting inside your RV through the vent. This way, you can leave your vent open in bad weather. The cover also protects the vent and its lid from wind damage, so you can leave the vent open even while driving the RV on the highway.
The grille at the back of the cover blocks animals and tree branches while allowing air to flow through. This is true of any vent cover, but the design of the grille can make a difference in the amount of airflow.
Unlike covers that have flat, slanted louvers that can block airflow, the Ultra Breeze grille has wing-shaped louvers. This patent-pending design allows 95 to 100 percent of available airflow through its grille. So you can cover your vent without sacrificing air circulation. The grille is also easily removable for cleaning.
This cover fits over all Dometic FanTastic trailer roof vents as well as many other standard and high-powered roof vents that require a 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" opening in the roof.
If your existing vent is screwed onto your roof, you will not need to drill holes to install this cover. Simply use the existing screws on each side of your vent and some caulk to attach the 4 mounting brackets included with the Ultra Breeze. Then secure the cover to the brackets with the included hardware.

Happy to find a vent that considers the roof vent lid in the open position. We used them on both vents. One with the fan and one without since the allow the vent door to be fully opened. Can be a little labor intensive to install depending on your camper roof material. Happy with this product over more popular brands.
Wow! Arrived in 2 days. It seems Dometic bought out fastastic fan since these covers fit perfectly. All the parts arrived and installation was per directions and easy. I left the rain auto close feature wired but this makes it nice to open the vent when I want, even when it rains. I installed on a 2000 Country Coach Intrigue.
We have been looking for a white vent cover and were unable to locate except from strainer. Exactly what we need for our Dometic Fantastic Fan. Have not installed yet. Waiting for spring.
This should be on every roof top fan, provides several benefits. including added security from rodents, protects the fan during travel, and blocks direct sunlight and heat. I've added this roof vent cover to both Airstreams I've owned. One of the first mods I make. Easy to instal and remove if necessary.
I ordered this to protect my roof vent that I am going to replace as soon as the weather lets me get on my roof. I ordered a new Vent cover and lift arm the wind storm ripped off my roof. Thank God it did not happen when the thunder storm and rain hit my RV.
This Vent Cover is a good product. It is wider than Camco's 14x14 cover and doesn't fit the Camco hardware. The Fantastic hardware is better anyway and is easy to remove for periodic cleaning.
The Cover is white but is not opaque - light passes through. That coupled with a "smoke" vent lid makes for bright mornings. That combo works for me but may not be good for some, particularly in a sleeping area.
Received cover and hardware promptly and in good condition. The Bugscreen was missing but it was delivered two days after I informed etrailer. I should deduct a half-star for having to climb on top of camper, remove the cover, install the Screen and reinstall the Cover. But I was in no hurry and etrailer's service was great.

Ordered 3 of the Dometic FanTastic Ultra Breeze covers. They arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Very easy to install. I had all three installed in 30 minutes.
eTrailer.com had the best price for this particular vent cover. They also delivered promptly, so my overall experience was great. Will consider eTrailer.com in the future for parts for my 2000 Coachmen Spirit of America 248TB travel trailer.

Vent cover is great, functioning as intended. Provides ample protection of vent even during rain. Also, easy to install.
Bought it to cover the flimsy fan vent cover. Hope it works.
Purchased the Fantastic Fan vent cover with the fan. Installation was simple and quick. We can leave the vent open and the fan on even when it rains. Great product!
Consider purchasing the flying insect screen that snaps on to this.
“ Be Warned “ Vent cover was received very badly scratched. It was scratched prior to going in the box for shipping. Can believe it was even sent out as a new one. Looks as though this one has been returned multiple times with zero care during packaging. There are other reviews with same issue. I would like it replaced with a new one not a recycled one. Very unsatisfied.

Fit my Dometic 1400 series vent (formerly Fan-Tastic) perfectly. The only problem was the mounting pegs broke on insertion. They still worked fine, but it was annoying. Much easier than drilling holes and sealing!

My old cover was the original on our 2004 Tropical. Was concerned about the fit of the new one. Installed it this morning, no problem at all. Looks good, great purchase and fast delivery.

So...after reading other reviews I picked this item at random. I'm happy with the overall construction...seems to be a bit heavier (thicker, stronger maybe) plastic. The included instructions were a bit vague, with not very helpful pictures. It's mostly a no-brainer anyway. Simple install and I really like that it 's so easy to remove. (for cleaning or whatever reason. I was concerned that it's not sealed to the roof, but my concern turned out to be unfounded. The day after installing 2 units I was in a heavy downpour while driving on the highway. I opened both vents(one of them a Fantastic Fan) and never got one drip. REALLY nice to be able to open the vents when it's raining. We all know how stuffy it can get. Sold! We'll see how well they hold up to our Arizona sun.
Good price from e trailer...my favorite retailer that I usually use was trying to get rich.
Only thing I would suggest is packaging for shipping should be better. UPS gave them their usual "dainty" handling with smashed corners, etc. but a testimony to the vents...they were undamaged.

We have traveled over 3000 miles with the vents since their purchase. They look like new and no problems in all those miles of highway wind.
